I want to have a place to share knowledge and my findings with likely minded people. I just hate spam and report all the junk that I found.

Everyone is welcome as long as he is not involved in any of the projects we report, just to avoid abuse. wwzsocki is accepted, read to OP to see how the things are working and if you have any questions just ask.

I have finished. Checked pages from 1 to 33 and reported 356 posts. I hope this is enough to report here. Please tell me when I do something wrong. My first day here so mistakes can happen  .

I will do the rest of Kratos thread tomorrow because I reported already few first pages. Don't want to double reports and give additional work to moderators.

I just finished to read this thread and now I know how to report correctly. You are reporting accounts and I have reported posts. From now on I will start to evaluate accounts.

After mod clean up there are only 35 pages left from 53, 100% accuracy.

Are our reports something really useful or is it just a waste of time? Not just our time,(since we spend hours to report thousands of messages), but also waste time for moderators.
The only solution is to prevent the problem, if we limit ourselves only to limiting spammers we will never win this battle as they can create "infinite numbers of accounts with virtually no limitations".

As I understand, you reserved from page 1 to 33, right??
We are working in a bit different way.
LoyceV posts a list of all the accounts posted in the specific thread, and we are reserving account based on that list. So you check the post history over each user on the list and report him if it's a obvious spammer.

See the list here., It's announced under each case.

Most of the time those shitposters get banned, so our job is to filter the spamers and hand them to the mods.

Besides the bots there are thousands of human "workers", getting those banned it's a good thing, the evil rating of their IPs is rising with each ban.

So I think the time is not wasted.

Are our reports something really useful or is it just a waste of time? Not just our time,(since we spend hours to report thousands of messages), but also waste time for moderators.

I see a few different scenarios:
1. A low quality, off-topic or spam post removed from a serious thread: a win for the forum. I think this is especially important when a shitposter with 50 posts in Off-topic or Politics & Society makes his first post in a tech-thread. He has to quickly learn that's not tolerated, before those threads are lost to spam too.
2. A shitpost/bump removed from a Spam Megathread (or ANN, that's about the same nowadays): a waste of time.
3. A shitposter/spammer banned: a win for the forum.
4. A high ranking copy/paster banned: a big win, as it destroys 1000 Merit, which the spam crew will never earn back.

#2 is what I'm trying to avoid as it's very demotivating to waste time on. All the rest is worth my time.

I tried reporting a few times cases like this one but without reaction. Most of the time you are 100% sure that they are alts and it's obvious but you have no solid proof. You have to start digging to find other clues and at the end nothing happens.

Here this is obvious that these accounts are alts used by bot because all posts are posted in a span of 1 second and account created one after another.

The only solution is to prevent the problem, if we limit ourselves only to limiting spammers we will never win this battle as they can create "infinite numbers of accounts with virtually no limitations".

At the end of the day you're making the threads cleaner. If you don't want to spam the rest of the mods, and clog up their queues you can pm the thread or I'll make an active effort to check this thread more regularly now that I should have a little bit more time.

I think to open my own thread where I will post my reports. This is not because of merit only for me.

I am reporting a lot every day and such a thread would be for me like a tool where I can check very fast all my reports and if somebody has problems, I will be able to find his case to dispute. When I post my reports every time in a different thread like now, then is not easy to find anything if you need it later on. That is why I have searched for a club or thread like this but my own maybe would be better.

What do you think?

I wanted to post in the thread you provided the link and I see that I have already reported there. This proves that my own thread will be the best solution. No problem with searching for accurate threads to post my reports.
