Short review after the changes from theymos :
A short reduce in spam posts is recognizable , but the spam bots going his way !
Reviewed a few Users with 0 Merit and done that again after seeing them with 1 Merit , they still only begged for the Merit and continue as before !
but that was to be expected.
My Personal thoughts , i can see definitely less spam , let's see the coming days and weeks !

It is much easier now, before they were like thousands accounts spamming, now they can be aroud 2000 Jr.Members who got 1 merit to spam but it's easy to catch them and it take much more time and effort to become a jr. again. Keep in mind that if they get only 1 point, that means that they have no sMerit to share with rest of the spammers so that was a smart move from theymos. Like the guy above, he distributed 48 merit without the option to create 24 +12 +6 + 3 +1 more  |

Maybe they are not so many now but a few days ago there were none. Now I find two pages (more than 100 hits) with Russian and hompgraphs.
Seems like the search engine does not return the all the results. Strange.

Kind of hijacking the thread here, But I think this needs to be addressed. Managers like bubbalex need to get a warning. I did a bit of looking around, The users he is giving out stakes to are mostly spammers. They are making 1 liner posts that don't add any value to the original discussions. I believe these managers are as much as responsible for the spam as the bounty hunters. They need to get tagged at first, if they don't revise up their policies we should start banning them. Just look at this user: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2008327bubbalex Accepted his posts for 3 weeks. I haven't seen 1 post from the user which was worthy of getting accepted. |

This user's email address was changed recently.First Posts to the date July 28, 2018 only in Russian and after that Date only English posts ! Also looks like in some way of merit abuse ! He got this 1 Merit on September 17, 2018 when the Merit change was ! For this Post :Hi, everybody. Yes, to lose 103 bitcoins is a great stress for a person even when he realized that this is a whole monetary state. If you search the Internet then a lot of stories about lost bitcoins forever. For example I have a friend in 2011, just lost in the casino 2 bitcoin, certainly not as much but still a pitifully  So I think every year there will be more and more such stories.  |

I tried to find the sources here but is almost impossible. I used probably half an hour for the first one searching with different key-words but without success. There should be an anti-word-spinning service to be able get the all possible combinations and search for them.
I found an interesting thing regarding the homographs. The correction to Latin is happening only in the sections. The homographs are unchanged in the "Post history" and the "Search results".
IDK what is the situation with "patrol" and "recent".
