Where is Mimblewimble? Or is that slated to happen 'way beyond' the Litecoin Halving and I missed the memo? I think Mimblewimble is the bomb. IF they actually break from Bitcoin Core Protocol and implement this in the Litecoin Wallets. or however, they are going to do this? Brad

Will LTC lead the delayed altseason? Or this year even with the halving we will not have surprises? after the halving, has to gain more value, or there will be less hash support, cause the mining will be not profitable at all and it could be a leader of the alt season with ethereum a side I'm sure it will get pumped after the halving, I'm just not sure how long afterwards. Bitcoin took about nine months afterwards to break the old gox ATH. if btc price go up an touch 20K $ then it will be all time high price value of BTC. alts impact is weak right now and BTC dominance is increasing day by day according to coinmarketcap, near 64%. this why BTC value is up and other alts are still suffering

Less then two months left and we will experience the effects of the halvening. It’s not unlikely we will see a surge up to $300 around that time. What do you think? Can LTC have such short term gains because of the halvening, or do you think different?

Bitcoin only had a small pump immediately after its halving. It really started pumping half a year afterwards. Perhaps litecoin won't get much of a pump in the next two months. The really big pump might be after Christmas.

It’s probably not a bad investment at this price to accumulate some more Litecoin to go into 2020.

Will LTC lead the delayed altseason? Or this year even with the halving we will not have surprises? The opposite of what you say is that there will be NO delayed Altcoin Season, as they will lag so far behind the Bitcoin Pump..that Bitcoin will bleed them dry. Thus 'virtual death' (as compared to BTC price vs pump) of Altcoins. Not saying it is so, but that is what the other half of the argument on altcoins are saying now. Bitcoin is going to gobble up all the selling and this will be more or less the way, stuff will run from now on, altcoins are dead, is the FUD. Actually, all of crypto could dump badly on the USA IRS Guidelines and/or Mt.Gox dumping coin, etc. As usual, still in full HODL mode. Crypto: Always Drama (tm: Bitcoin) Brad

Hope this year or next history will repeat or altcoins and btc both will go up in next bull run but right now no movement in market but stable.

The halving is not planed. It happens when it happens. Basically the reward is halved after every 840,000 blocks are mined. It takes on average 2,5 minutes to mine a block. 13,916 are left until we reach that. Using a little math magic and we get 24 days and a few hours... It's about the math and mining power, not a plan some people made. Is it worth buying? Maybe. Nobody knows. I repeat, nobody knows. Use the little freedom you have left and make your own choice.

Personally I think that after serious corrections over weeks, since latest peak, Litecoin now is worthy altcoin to buy. I don't think Litecoin might surpass its latest peak, but it might be able to move close to that price range. And, such recovery before the halving is enough for me. Moreover, the things will happen with Litecoin closely before halving time might be a good example for what might happen with bitcoin halving next year, that is what I am more interested in.

If this was somehow true, then it's bad news for Bitcoin's price.

The correct value for litecoin is the bitcoin value divided by four.
Which factors lead you to such formula to estimate value of Litecoin, based on Bitcoin? Can you share it with more details, and reasons behind the estimation, please. I guess you meant the Litecoin value in USD, not in LTC/ BTC pair, didn't you?

I guess you meant the Litecoin value in USD, not in LTC/ BTC pair, didn't you? I think the formula is not so seriously difficult, most likely based on the ratio of max number of coins. 84Mill / 21 Mill = 4
