Last several hours it hit around $38 USD. LTC is like other coins, tied at the hip to BTC.
Let alone LTC, some Altcoins that are in the top 10 are also tied to the price of bitcoin, so how can Litecoin go its own way if it goes up without having to see the price of bitcoin not going up well, I think $ 38 is a very reasonable price for some people to buy it again including me

Agreed with you LTC's price action is correlated with Bitcoin if there will be nice rally than altcoins will respond wonderful. If Bitcoin will remain sideways around current price than we can see little down trend in future.
yes because LTC has a pair on BTC so there is no harm in price following the BTC, so I think it is very reasonable and indeed everything should return to the price of bitcoin, at this time all expect bitcoin to take a new ATH in the near future as well as LTC and others

...I found this on the www.litecointalk.io Litecoin site.

When I was reading this announcement I kept wondering if that was written before or after the vulnerability of Mimblewimble was found?

Luckily a few posts later I got my answer.

...Grin developer David Burkett aims to find a solution for the “Achilles heel of Mimblewimble privacy”
Details: https://cointelegraph.com/news/litecoin-funded-grin-developer-challenges-mimblewimbles-privacy-issue...

So this great announcement is not so great anymore because of the vulnerability.

Now it would be great to hear if the implementation of Mimblewimble will be possible at all, an explanation about the latest problems and the roadmap for Litecoin.

The price keeps falling with some minor swings, actually, LTC is worth 44$. This was my entry price some time ago but now I had to change my plans after LTC hit 38$ mark.

Litecoin Foundation launches crowdfunding campaign to develop confidential transactions for LTC

''The Litecoin Foundation has announced the creation of a dedicated fund to support the ongoing development of privacy features for Litecoin and is calling for community members to donate.

On Tuesday, the Singapore-based non-profit said on LitecoinTalk the fund will finance the efforts of David Burkett, the Grin developer currently working to bring confidential transactions to Litecoin via MimbleWimble extension blocks (EBs). ''

https://bitcoinist.com/litecoin-may-not-become-silver-to-bitcoins-gold-afterall/

Litecoin unlikely to be Silver to Bitcoin's Gold. I've been saying this for a while. Litecoin needs to get 'hungry' and start acting in PR

and development and such like a regular altcoin. The devs for too long have believed in their own hype of above.

Mimblewimble was a good start, but then nothing, no other projects or real updates, etc. The devs have to get past their own.

The view that Litecoin by some 'magic' process as being the heir to Bitcoin's Silver status in the altcoin world.

They need to step it up or just be irrelevant in the future. The proof is that sh*tcoins like BSV and BCH have more value as a fork than Litecoin.

Shake/Rattle/Roll.

Don't worry, everything will move in the right direction, due to market fluctuation the price of an LTC decreased in the market and we need not worry about the current situation. The price of LTC will recover, but it will take some more time to increase the price of LTC, now BTC is becoming more stable at the current value.

LTC is moving forward into positive direction even it is not rising as per holder's expectation even after block halving event it stuck on previous level but the the good thing that it looking stable and hopefully in future it will get succeed to show some kind of magic.

You can see the Altcoins are being sold off very strongly in the market, and the LTC price has dropped quite deeply from its peak this year. Until the BTC halving event next year, I thought it shouldn't be too optimistic about LTC's price increase.

And which coin should we be optimistic aside from Bitcoin? And are you sure about your claim that altcoins are being sold off very strongly in the market? I cannot see altcoins being sold off very strongly for the past many months. The past months are bad for most of the altcoins. Altcoins are all far from their recorded ATH which was achieved mostly in late 2017 and early 2018. From then on, most of them are already moving up and down at the low level. At least with Litecoin we know for sure that it is not stagnant in terms of growth and development.

I don't think we always just expect higher prices, but we use patience and support for LTC. because we know in cryptocurrency not only from a name project that makes prices move but also the interest of those who need LTC

May be we will have  altcoin season before New Year. 500 mln USDT were printed in last days. Something similar was in the end of 2017 when a lot of USDT were printed...

THE FUTURE IS HERE
It is more interesting and more informative if you or anyone else can include the total net effects of all nodes on each cryptocurrency network. How many percent all nodes account for on each network? I think the figure is somehow help us to imagine the roles of nodes to secure networks, keep them being as much decentralized as possible, and reduce risks of replay attacks.

Full nodes, masternodes, service nodes, whatsoever nodes, they are help to secure networks and maintain decentralizations of networks.

Why did everyone believe in digital "gold" and "silver", the physical prototype of which has real value in many industries. Yes, it may be faith that determines the price of currencies to some extent, but ultimately those cryptocurrencies that will meet all the requirements of end consumers will win, and I do not exclude that these will be altcoins or stablecoins.

FML, if Mimblewimble was ever needed to come out quick, this would be the time. I mean frigging really?

Litecoin as I type this at 'barely' back up above $40 at $40.85! Sh*t!

They should be on, the Litecoin folk, full bore development PR and Mimblewimble and other dev stuff in the works.

I mean if under $40 coin in the last day, does not light a fire under some folks asses in the Dev world of Litecoin..well hell.. all frigging hope is lost

Mimblewimble or not!

Not encouraged at all.

Litecoin Foundation Partners With StormX To Provide Stormplay And Stormshop Users Rewards In Litecoin

''The Litecoin Foundation has partnered with StormX, a blockchain powered startup that allows users to earn money directly from their devices. Through StormX’s two products (StormPlay and StormShop), anyone can now earn rewards with Litecoin.

The addition of Litecoin to this platform is seen as a natural and logical move by the Founder and CEO of StormX, Simon Yu. ''

Same belief for the great gold rush before.

And it's the same concept that we're experiencing right now. Bitcoin to be the digital gold and Litecoin for digital silver.

Of course, we are going to earn a reward through this Storm Play and Storm Shop but in what way, while playing and while shopping we are going to get rewards. In order to reward we should invest funds in terms of cryptocurrency or in terms of fiat currency.
