Mimblewimble is set to upgrade the privacy of Litecoin

Mimblewimble is a decentralized system focused on anonymity, named after a tongue-tying spell from the Harry Potter book series. The protocol has a privacy feature that allows users to hide transaction data. It also serves as a basis for other blockchains to improve the usage of their cryptocurrency.

Is there any future for this coin ? in the last bull run it underperformed barely making 1.2x of previous ATh when it "should" have reached 1k.
i think its potential has been canibalised by the ill fated Luna, Dogecoin and "its son" Shiba.
What are your thoughts ?

Thanks

Lite-speed! Because of Litecoin’s high processing rates, double-spending threats are significantly reduced. As a result, merchants and dealers may complete transactions considerably faster than they could on the other networks.

The current median transaction fee is $0.001

All rooting for LTC

Best coin there is, just unfortunately without marketing.
Lots of people, a trader community, which is tuned to profits. A tooling approach into the mayor Payment Gateways like Stripe, Klarna and a little better marketing and it should do the trick.

Litecoin has lightning?

Yes, Litecoin does indeed have lightning. In fact, Litecoin was first before Bitcoin to prove that Lightning was not only theoretically possible, but literally possible as well.

That's true, but literally nobody is using it, it seems basically dead.
I had a lightning node for about 1 year and more than 10 channels, after that year 2 channels were left and I never routed a single transaction.
For it to come to life, the onchain fees fiat equivalent would need to be much higher (simply put: LTC needs to cost hundreds of USD first). Right now there is no need/incentive for lightning in LTC compared to onchain txs.

Just like Litecoin Discord. Joke aside, when the Founder left and sold his coins that was it in my opinion. Trust was broken, hard to come from that and there is ETH which was pumped due to contracts/tokens/mining wars etc.. not to mention others likes of Solana. LTC is in a pinch.

I agree with your opinion, but I also believe that if it were more widespread and used, it might have some positive impact on the growth of the currency and the LTC ecosystem.

I've quite the opposing view, even if I'm more a "Bitcoiner" than a "Litecoiner": when Charlie Lee sold his coins, I began to take LTC more seriously. Exactly because of the trust issue - in a cryptocurrency there should be never a single person you have to "trust".

Bitcoin has still the problem that nobody knows what will happen with Satoshi's coins. Many are worried about that - I'm not so much, because anyway if they're sold that will send down the price only for the short term, on the long term it should be strengthened. But anyway, LTC has already survived this stage - this can be seen as an advantage.

I haven't signed up yet and from what I understand you need to sign up and convert at least $40 into crypto through their service.

This tweet is more recent and says exactly this: https://twitter.com/gethedgecrypto/status/1576966515001204736
