I am sure Litecoin will stay in the top 10 on CMC for a long time. I still prefer to use LTC as BTC to transfer, but to be honest, there are many better, faster and cheaper coins to use.

But most of those other coins aren't on all the big exchanges, just some of them. Litecoin is on virtually every big exchange, and very useful for fast transfers.

I am not so sure. I see at least four faster and cheaper coins in the top 10 which I have used and know for sure about it.

There are still a few I have never used for transfers so far like Stellar, Eos or Tether, but I assume the last one is not a concurrence for Litecoin.

So, there are many concurrence in the top 10 for LTC, when it goes to cheap and fast transfers.

At the end of 2017 during the bubble and especially at the pick of the bubble, LTC was widely used because it was one of the cheapest coins and exactly as you said, with enough liquidity because LTC is listed on all exchanges, but this situation changed significantly in the last year. All these other coins are also already listed on every big exchange and keep the pressure on LTC.

Lately, I personally started also to choose other coins to transfer between exchanges because fees are also lower for many of them and when we add that they are additionally cheaper in transfer and faster, then this is no-brainer anymore.

yes you're right, that's one of the advantages of Litecoin almost all exchanges already support this coin. there may be a lot of coins that are faster and cheaper. but in my opinion litecoin is still the best for the issue of sending funds between exchanges.

Most of time, at same speed rate of transactions, if one coin (A) has lower price than another coin (B), the transaction fee at same amount of money to move with coin A will mostly be much cheaper than coin B's transaction.

Recent months, especially since the mid of 2018, blockchain technology has evolved significantly and transaction's fees become much cheaper while transaction speeds become much faster. In my perspective, it does not a problem to wait for 5 or ten minutes to get finished transactions between exchanges/ platforms and I see there are so many coins satisfy that need of crypto enthusiasts nowadays.

I can't agree with you here and I am sure that many will choose the coin which has instant or even lightning-fast transactions rather than slower once.

This is very important for many treaders, especially when you are trading using bots or API. Still, LTC is a lot better as BTC for which I waited yesterday almost 7 hours to be confirmed.

As I already said I have used LTC in 2018 very much because was one of the best options for fast and cheap transfers, today I amusing other alts so situation changed and LTC lost this advantage already because there are a few cheaper and faster coins only in the top 10, don't mention other once.

That is why further development of new features as Mimbewimble is a great idea and will add value and more use cases for LTC.

True, I have felt it since a few years ago, when I needed money, I preferred Litecoin as a fast and efficient intermediary.

There are different types of crypto traders, and investors and they have different needs to move their coins (speeds, fees, and potential congestion on networks). Someone don't have urgent needs like me, someone have urgent needs or just usually need fast transactions like you.
Addtionally, their definitions on fast transactions are different, obviously.

Generally, the diversification of demands from crypto traders and investors result in a very healthy competition and race between different crypto currencies. It's good for all.

This is what I totally agree with you. By the way, it is good to see you point it out when Mimblewimble-algorithm coins have been in their upwards trend, from Grin coin to BEAM.

Litecoin soon will die, because it hasn't any reliable use. Nowadays price-drop only confirming it.

I find this hard to believe. If It didn't die when it dropped from $50 to $3 back in the day, it is not going to die, ever. I agree that its a copy/paste of btc though. Maybe they implement MW as a sidechain and try something different... I hope they do.

What is your source to predict about price of LTC could potentially drop to such a low level even it is showing mind blowing performance and big merchants already support this. I hope this will keep growing and will get a decent floor in future.

It's not a prediction if you're talking about the past Wink He was talking about the previous bear market (2014-2016) when it went from $50 to less than $3 and stayed there for two years.  The source is the historical price charts Wink

There is no evidence to reduce the price of Litecoin because there are many exchanges that support it, even the daily volume can reach hundreds of bitcoins.

yes as you predicted if Litecoin was will soon close to $ 55 and now it's on $ 58. the right decision is to buy under $ 55 and wait or hold. I know Litecoin is a good coin and I am sure prices will go up high in coming years 2020.
