is it good idea to transfer my LTC to a hard wallet? What is the process if there is a fork? i.e to I have to transfer my LTC back to Coinbase in order to get the ''potential'' new coins?  please ignore my lack in these technicalities, i have been in this market only for a few months... thanks

Most People say move to Hardware or paper wallet is the only safe way to store long term. The only nice thing about Conbase if you are a US citizen is the USD wallet is FDIC insured up to 250k so even if exchange goes Kaput, your dollars are safe. Also you can't lose it or send it to the wrong address,m pity the guy over in England with 150 mil in BTC in the landfill.
 also if you run the LTC wallet on your desktop then you wouldn't have to transfer back to coinbase to extract the new coins.... is there a fork coming???

I've seen people say you SHOULD buy a hardware wallet if you have more than $200 in crypto. This is really stupid. Where do you have the backup seed for the HW wallet? On a piece of paper. So the best long term cold storage is a paper wallet. Skip the HW, you're just wasting money.

A HW wallet only makes sense for a hot wallet that you use frequently for transactions.

Litecoin will get out of this mess. Those who know Charlie since the beginning know that he is not the type of guy that would do anything illegal to get himself into something like that.

Plus he doesn't even need the money.

He is most likely being framed by some LTC haters, more than anything.

It’s still a correction. It’s a pressure on small players to sell their coin at minimum price for big players to buy them. There will be other peaks in 2018. Especially after announcing new platforms working with ltc.

Many also spoke in the case of BTC every time when it lost a good part of its value. LTC, unlike bitcoin, today is faster and more technologically advanced and certainly much better suited as a crypto currency. Charlie did a good deed for everyone and he does not abandon his offspring halfway, but will continue to develop it. Just the constant thoughts about the tremendous responsibility that is expressed in money this should not interfere with the developer. Indeed, the year 2018 will be the year of altcoins. But not all, but only fast and technological. Bitcoin did his job. He made crypto currency popular. Now his brand will gradually give way to technologic-coins.

I  sold also half of my bag just before Christmas. It is not so big as Mr. Lee's bag but enough to enjoy a month bora bora travel planned for next year.
