As we all know that smartphones are just like computer nowadays that has strong storage capacity and processor. This I think could be enable to mine bitcoin and this is what I am waiting for if there are any smartphones company that would offer their smartphones for bitcoin mining or even as a smartphone that works as digital hardware wallet for bitcoin and other crypto. I am waiting for it to happen. Do you think that it will happen?

Actually, it was already possible today, there are web browsers like google chrome that can run a mining application which can used by some mobile devices.

There are smartphones that can mine altcoin which is the electroneum. I don't think the coin is profitable to mine though but maybe in the next 2 to 5 years we'll be seeing developments of that project, price might just be good. But for Bitcoin mining? Asic is way expensive to compare to a smartphone. You can buy a smartphone with less than $500 and maybe even better than the current samsung I'm using. The point is that smartphone is no match to ASIC miners. Even if they create smartphones to mine BTC you have no chance.

You can use your own smartphone to mine Bitcoins but the return isn't as good when you compare them to other mining hardwares. Before any powerful smartphone gets released the difficulty already increased by a significant amount where any of those smartphone won't be profitable for Bitcoin mining. It's better to spend your money on a rig than a smartphone if you're looking to invest on some miners. I don't think any smartphones would be profitable in the future for Bitcoin mining.

It won't happen.

Smartphone for bitcoin mining? you are just destroying your phone.

Smartphone as digital wallet, you can simply download an app / wallet and that's how you make it as your wallet.

You never know! With the help of nano technology we may be able to achieve smaller chips that produces as much power as a full sized mining rigs in future. I mean that is not the reality now but it may become in future. If you were 80's kid, did you ever think that you can carry a computer in your pocket? Because what computer we have seen that time was Pentium one and it required an air conditioned room to run that. Nano technology achieved that impossible and now we carry a smart phone inside our pocket.

So keep your hope high as we don't know where the technological achievements can take us!
this has been the discussion of many people and it will already be predicted for the next few years how the network makes the simplest thing when bitcoin can be mined without using the equipment that does require power and quality very well. And this is still in the stage of the research process again for the future and if this happens then many people will do this.

Why would smartphone companies offer their smartphones for bitcoin mining? A smartphone has other expensive components like camera, its screen, its motherboard, etc. Bitcoin mining only makes use of the power of the processor. You are paying for other components but you're choosing to abuse only one part of your phone which is the processor. If you're going to do that, then you should have just bought a GPU which has a lot more power than your smartphone.

I really think that where you are coming from is the Ads of the new phones claiming that they are as powerful as a computer. They can claim that, but we don't see phones running the same apps as computers do like AutoCAD, photoshop. And yes, I'm aware that these has mobile phone apps BUT they just don't have the same functionality. You can do a lot more in PC and you can also load the files better on PC.

Another reason why you shouldn't mine using your smartphone is that smartphones have a short battery life and mining bitcoin makes use of all your processor's computing power and that consumes a lot of energy. This means that, one day, you might be able to mine bitcoin using your phone, but it wouldn't give you much money (since there's not much computing power) and it will make your phone go low battery almost right away. You can do it while being charged, of course, but that's going to ruin your battery life. If you look at it, you might even end up paying more money for the electricity bills of your phone being charged all the time than the money that you're going to get from mining bitcoin with your phone.

Honestly, the computing power of your phone is so insignificant compared to how much computing power other people have to the point that it's probably better if you just do faucets.

TL;DR: It's not worth mining with your smartphone.

Bingo right on the head with that post mate!
Smartphones arent systemically designed to generate the necessary power to mine cryptos.
When Apple creates their new iphone each year, they are more focused on the camera and ability to use apps.
Mining is the least of their concerns.
You got right Guys, Smartphone is not for mining, if we talk about technical on Blackchain, a lot of miners would give their one cent of advised, remember this technical issue.. Never would it allow by Apple to use their technology for such application on their product.

Everything is possible through our technology, who knew on 2009 that bitcoin will be as it is now  ? Who knew that microchips will be used on curing such diseases and illnesses?
Are you aware of what smartphone are capable of ? Almost everything now can be done with the help of mobile phones. Who will know what the future is with smartphone as our technology advancements continue to amaze us.

I think something like that will not come. The constant heat development would not be good for the smartphone and could break it. Even with an speziell asic chip in the smartphone, it would certainly be too heat. Moreover, this would empty the battery even faster than usual and that would be more than annoying. Rather, I believe, asic chips will be installed sometime in PCs, TVs, routers or other devices that are always on hanging on the power grid. But that's just my opinion. Smiley

It takes a very large processor if used for mining, I think it will be difficult to create but in today's technological era anything can happen. we can only wait for him but it takes a very long time.

You're kidding right? you can but it just a waste of time. Bitcoin's algorithm is too complicated for a mobile phone to mine. Heck even the latest GPU can't even complete with an old model ASIC miner. If you are planning to, then just don't. Not only you are wasting your time, you are wasting electricity. Even if your electricity is free, there's a chance that your phone wouldn't be able to handle the power and would cause it to malfunction. I doubt in the future phones would be able to mine even a small fraction of Bitcoin because even if they are being upgraded each year, so  are the ASIC miners.

Mining will damage your phone if you use it for mining, but joining faucet would be safe.

We should not rule out the possibility of this happening in future. I hope some one with authority in a major mobile manufacturing company is reading this.

Maybe someone will develop a phone for production, but it should be a powerful phone, so that in addition to mining, the battery would suffice.

this will never happen, though there are site who offer it.
well those are just hype and fakes.
people need to deposit money for that.
we need a miner assets to have that. we need to buy goods to set it up.
so beware. but in the future it will be possible im sure with that.

With the development of technology like now there is nothing impossible, but why you choose a smartphone? For mining cryptocurrency especially bitcoin this time it's difficult for people who do not have money.

Think about the cost of electricity and the cost to assemble a PC that support for mining cryptocurrency is very difficult and has a high value. If you want to start mining cryptocurrency you can do it slowly and accumulate a lot of money to buy it, at least you can compare PCs that support for mining cryptocurrency and smartphones the funny thing I've ever heard.

I don't think in the future smartphone will become like the mining rig that will produce Bitcoin, No it won't be happen, perhaps the mobile phone might gonna be damage or destroy only, due to its part of the phone is not design to mine bitcoin at all. therefore, it's too impossible to be happen.

Bitcoin mining is not possible with smartphones at all. Because we all know that Bitcoin needs a lot of powerful computer to mining later, and it's pretty expensive There are also mining firms for mining. So you tell yourself that the tasks are possible in the smartphone ??

Well, your idea is interesting but I think that actually it is impossible to implement from commercial and technical points of view. Modern smartphones have a good performance but batteries which are located in phones have too small capacity for high loads that is why nobody research and develops such projects. Expenses for the development are high but outcome is I think this theme will be actual when somebody invents a very capacity battery.

It Is possible to occur In the future mate because as we notice by the time or year passed by the more the technology evolved Itself. So there's a tendency that It will come to reality to used smartphone to mine bitcoin.
