Have you ever heard about Electroneum project (ETN)? Electroneum provides an opportunity for smartphone users to do ETN coins mining, but your phone will not be performing real mining, but rather a simulation of mining. Your phone will be powered by a hash rate based on its available CPU power. This value will typically be between 30 and 50 H/s. ETN coins will be credited to your online wallet based on this hash rate.

This is very impractical question in my opinion. We already have miners for this, making it compact for mobile means more cost.

In order to mining, it is necessary that the phone was powerful. Now such phones do not even exist. I will not be surprised at anything. But it seems to me that this is unreal.

Mobiles are not going to be used for mining. Both these things should be available separately for efficient use.

I think it can be done. I have seen many people in my country currently mining ETN and they are earning decent money but in future we can mine bitcoins and other altcoins with smartphones. We are currently living in a world where anything is possible. I think smartphones will take place of computer and laptop in future.
The more advancement in the technology, the more possibilities to make the impossible possible. It can still be used to mine Bitcoin by using electronic gadgets and mobile phones with good features but they are prone towards hacking and one could loose valuable information by using a mobile phone for dealing with Bitcoin. Besides, it can easily be stolen or lost so it is much good to use your PC for mining to be on a safe side and avoid risk.

Using mobile for mining bitcoin will drain the battery in just few minutes. This is just not possible in my opinion.

it will take a long time to create a Smartphone like that, other than that the price would be very expensive because it requires extreme specifications. Even now only a few companies have computers with such capabilities.

I do not think that use of smartphone for mining process is feasible at all. i am sure it will never happen
Currently, there are some applications that allow the exploitation of cryptocurrency on the Android operating system. But it looks like these apps will be removed from Google Play for a while because Google thinks these apps are malicious.

As we all know that smartphones are just like computer nowadays that has strong storage capacity and processor. This I think could be enable to mine bitcoin and this is what I am waiting for if there are any smartphones company that would offer their smartphones for bitcoin mining or even as a smartphone that works as digital hardware wallet for bitcoin and other crypto. I am waiting for it to happen. Do you think that it will happen?
You're crazy!!! do you want a heating pad in your pocket or a heater? What you're talking about. The phone will not be able to cope with such loads. Although phones are very powerful, but they are expensive as computers. Why you need it.

I think smartphones cannot be ysed in mining because there are still other things that smartphones do not have lile computers like having good performance and good specs that are capable in a lot of things especially in mining.

It's possible to mine some altcoins with MinerGate or other apps. Actually cellphones are not very efficient for that purpose. Some people use old mobile phones for mining just to make them busy. Now Google is going to delete all mining apps from Google Play so it doesn't seem that cellphone mining will develop in the nearest future.

Instead of the idea of using a smartphone for crypto mining which will eventually break your phone with our current technological units how about creating some mining equipment which you can carry out of your pocket like the phone does, it would be a waste if you are going to use that for mining alone I would eventually be used it on the other way to maximize its usage.

bitcoin mining on smartphone, for me yes it is possible as newly releases phone nowadays has a huge storage allocation, and also, crypto is getting popular each day passed, there is no doubt that sooner, there will be a company who will invent a phone which is capable for mining,a phone who is as strong as computer but expect that mobile mining is very slow like turtle.

Most likely will never happen, and if it will you won't earn that much at all, but your smartphone will die more quickly. As bitcoin mining difficulty is growing year to year, imagine how fast your smartphone should be to catch up with this technology. Even big bitcoin mining companies have to upgrade their software almost every year, are you ready to buy new smartphone every 6 months or so Bitcoin mining is clearly will be industrial and won't be that profitable at all for home miners, who can't survive mining when bitcoin price is low.

It is very possible that this will happen very soon, maybe even in the next year or two!
Lol, that's impossible because the phone capacity is limited and if there is I can not imagine what the price of that phone is. the logic of the computer device itself still needs additional tools that support to mine and spend a lot of capital, and I think it will not happen and even though it happens of course the price of this phone will be very expensive.

The speed of Bitcoin transactions is dependent on minning and if many devices are used for this it would lead to an increased speed, this is certainly a welcome development, I hope that a technology comes up which would make this feasible.

Can't stop laugh on this thread. Nothing to talk about smartphone but firstly compare notebooks and Personal Computers to each other. I guess there is a huge difference in hardware capabilities. Show me smartphone with gpu similar of GTX1080ti or cpu similar of i9 and also show me 128gb ram on smartphone. If you do this, then we can think about mining with smartphones. I think soon people will make threads about how to mine with smartwatch.

I think no. After all, with each type of bitcoin, the weight increases. The idea is cool, but it seems to me that most famous firms will refuse from it
