I still cannot mine BEAM on Hive OS with GTX1060 3GB, 418.56 drivers.
Hi MineOrDie, We tested it on Hive OS with 418.43, but it should work with your driver as well. What is the error miniZ complains about for not starting? If it is does not have enough memory you can try to add --mode=10 to the command line (this might be a problem if you have different cards models on your rig). Also it may help us to track the problem if you run nvidia-smi without any miners runing and give us the output. Cheers I get this message: Wanted to alloc: 2922 MB out of memory::CUDA: failed to alloc memory for main data 1.3n3 version with --mode=10 added. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | NVIDIA-SMI 418.56 Driver Version: 418.56 CUDA Version: 10.1 | |-------------------------------+----------------------+----------------------+ | GPU Name Persistence-M| Bus-Id Disp.A | Volatile Uncorr. Hi MineOrDie, It should run as it looks like there is enough memory to run it (3019-25=2994), but maybe it is still too tight... You still can try two things: 1. --mode=3 (it will be a bit slow, but just to see if it works) 2. exclude the first GPU (that has less free memory) with -cde 0Then we can try to workout a solution for you :-) Cheers Yup, it works now without that GPU. I have an HDMI to VGA adapter attached to one GPU because it won't boot without that, so maybe it uses some additional memory but I don't have other choices right now. With all 12 GPUs I would have additional 2.5 GPUs worth of hashing power free compared to GMiner. Nice work!

Hi MineOrDie, I think the easiest fix for now is to just add --mode0 3 (this puts gpu 0 into mode 3), maybe you are ok with this solution. Also remember that if you are using power limit and OC, and it may help to get better performance if you add --oc1 (or less likely - -oc2). Thanks for giving miniZ a try :-) Cheers

Cheers No problem, thank you for your hard work and try to get added into Hive by default. I hit them up, but they just said that you have a turtorial on your site how to run miniZ on Hive, so just to use that. More people would use miniZ if it's already there by default. EDIT: So we fixed one problem, but now I have another. My LA is 7+. On 144,5 everything was fine.

We will keep the tutorial online. (But now we are tempted to remove it ) We keep looking into the load issue. Cheers

Hi everyone, Big thanks for you amazing patience and cooperation! We believe to have fixed a few major issues. Nevertheless, we will keep further testing. We made available new files for both Windows and Linux. You can find the miniZ v1.3n3 on our website https://miniz.ch/download/* Improved high CPU load. (We keep testing) * Fixed "offline" worker issue. * Fixed problems with sparkpool * Modified --localtime, added the possibility to show both local time and running time. (Ex. --localtime 11) Usage* Other minor fixes. For those who use Hive OS there is a new link for you: http://miniz.ch/hiveos/miniZ-1.3n3.tar.gzCheers

Hi ltxminer, stzcze, thank you for the log. This CUDA warning/error might be related to your OC settings. The miner now outputs these errors. We suggest you to modify a bit the OCs and check if it helps. But we would like to know whether the miner exits. Could you let us know if it exits or just keeps going? Cheers
