Minepeon works great as soon as you replace the cgminer with the one provided by Andareed

I bought my 1 set miner & accessories from badman/kelly. I tried wiibox controller, but its seems tough, so found out how to mine in pc with windows 7 & cgminer. Downloded the new cgminer 3.7.2 gridseed & changed - hotplug 5. Connected 6 miners to 1 12v,30A power supply & connected output of miners to hub & connected the hub to pc. Installed zadiag driver for usb to com. Run cgminer, it identified everything & mines. Kill-o-watt meters says 4W when idle & ~57W drawn from wall mining with 6 miners, where the power supply connected. For those who cant makes cgminer identify, change hot plug from 0 to 5 & start cgminer first, wait for cgminer to run & say no device found, then connect the usb from miners. Everything works fine. Have to try 10 miners in cgminer soon.

Wow! Nothing else to configure? Just swap the cgminer and you're done?

So you're running all 6 miners with single cgminer instance (not 6 separate cgminer instances)? How is your batch file configured?

Single cgminer instance. cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu.middlecoin.com:3333 -u xxxxxxx -p x --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=800,chips=5 --hotplug 5 EDIT: If cgminer dont detect, display baud=115200, freq=800.... then just restart hub or remove & connect miners WHILE cgminer is running. cgminer detects miners automatically.

The admin. runs BTCGUILD. And you can auto convert to BTC, or keep the scrypt coin you want and convert those you don't. I am pointing 2MHs at it currently and will do the rest tonite.

Using this new CGminer is so much more consistent and give you more details then using the CPUminer first given to us all. I highly recommend everyone switch to this new cgminger 3.7.2

Sounds like 3.7.2 cgm is working out better, as I was hoping. Still, the USB hotplug issues bother me a bit.Even though they are overcomable, I'd like to see any related 'restart' - 'reload then restert' issues corrected before I dive in and replace my beloved cpuminer ;( <kidding! One of the DOS screen shut itself down last night during the wee hours but stayed in comm with the pool I'm mining with. Weird! Win7 DOS window glitch? I ran cmd and restarted the miner, loaded up just as if it was starting up fresh and kept on mining as if it had never stopped per my pool stats. Yes, it quit last night all by itself - well, the DOS screen print quit and closed - but the miner kept it's comm with the pool all night and kept mining as if nothing happened. It was evidently mining all night without the DOS window open. Weird! One wouldn't expect such a glitch, eh? I hope the cg boys work out the last few bugs asap and I see that it's all good now and, safe for me to take the leap I do like some of cgminers offerings over cpuminer. But cpuminer got my green mining ass up and running in 15 minutes a week or so ago. Thank you cpuminer! Yes, an Ode to cpuminer .... Wolfey2014

Absolutly hey it was a good solution to get us working out of the box but I personally am using CGremote to monitor and control all my rigs and now I can pull the data from my Gridseed rig. Still cant remotly switch pools since i need to juggle the USB hub every time I reboot the software but I will try seeing if i kill the power to the USB hub and reconnect if that works I can remotly trip it with a Managed outlet. Just thinking out of the box here

Wolfey2014 Does anyone know if there are soft commands to start/stop/reset the USB ports so we don't have to mess with re-hot plugging everytime we want programs to recognize and acknowledge connections? There should be commands for that. There should be no manual / physical hot plugging needed, at all! I'm sure you cg boys can figure that out. Right? Connect everything up, fire up the software, it recognizes peripherals, loads their drivers, loads USB drivers, connects ports to peripherals and resets their ports when necessary. All without having to physically intervene. This will enable all local and more importantly, remote users to handle anything that comes up, save power / hardware failures of course. Wolfey2014

My One Gridseed Miner is working perfect. Nice change from 50k to 350k, plus giving my little nvidia laptop card a rest. My Steps, and Im a newbie so forgive me if I trip up or sound a little...retarded 1) Installed Zadig, newest version 2/14: http://zadig.akeo.ie/2) Power up the Gridseed and attach to your USB port. Computer will says something like "oh we dont know what that is --unsucessfully installed". So, goto Zadig interface and select "all devices" and dropdown menu should show either the CP3PO (the Zadig website says the one to look for). In his notations he says some come instead with the STM32 virtual port (thats what mine had). So you install the driver onto that STM32 thingy instead of the other CP3PO one. 3) Now, I must say, this dint work for me str8 away. Running cgminer it says no "hotplug" thing, which was set to 0 his original settings: "cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777 -u yourworker.1 -p password --gridseed-options=baud=115200,freq=850,chips=5 --hotplug 0 pause" And, someone mentioned to put the hotplug vaule to 5 and it will work (though that might be for multiple miners--Im not sure). In any case, cgminer still said something about no hotplug plug and play devices or something and it wasnt working. 4) So, what I did was unplug the usb connection and unplugged power to the Gridseed. Then I rechecked Zadig and unclicked and reclicked "find all devices" and saw the STM32 thingy wasnt there anymore, which it shoulnt be. Then I also rechecked the windows installation pop-up box that originally told me the device was unsucessfully installed and I closed that box up. So everythings closed and clear and acknowledged and we have a fresh slate. I also, during this time, ran cg miner with the gridseed completely unplugged from the computer and it searched for the gridseed and found nothing, which is good. Then I plugged everything back in and reinstalled the stm32 driver again. I left the hotplug value at 0 in cgminer and ran it. It found the gridseed and hashed away perfectly. Perhaps beginners luck but I'd rather be lucky than talented any day of the week. Best luck to everyone, I will try to help as much as I can. http://img281.imagevenue.com/loc471/th_224239496_gridseed_122_471lo.jpg or image is here http://img281.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=224239496_gridseed_122_471lo.jpg
