Actually i am absolute certain its on usb 2.0
The usb 3.0 slots are used up by external drives and other real usb 3.0 devices (I mean by that devices which really deliver speed and do not dc itself on these ports)

On my 5 computers with kinda all versions win above 7 on them 7 ult x64, 7 ent x32: x64, win 8 x64, win x 8.1 funny enough also on the r.pi it acts weird
Changed hubs, changed pc, changed usb cables
I deleted almost all linux partitions because i hardly use them since most miners i had are having almost everything aboard (knc, ant) so almost no fuss power up and go.
Takes me 3 minutes for setup a knc box for mining on any pool, including installing the psu
Ants a bit more since they are a bit slow on the web interface, unless you want fixed ip's then it takes even more time

I am pretty sure its more then able to feed both boards on a blade they are rated to use 100 watt so bot sure what they pull for real since too much extra is needed to let them run

Have a blade coming this week...can each of the two "blades" be run separately on different miners/pools?  I plan on using hashra with a pi or two.

You can if you plug each blade to a different controller

I see that diameter of gridseed 5chipper is 9.5cm, but could someone please tell me the hight without fan. So i would know how many i can fit in to my tower case.

I'm still using this binary (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=477709.msg5539257#msg5539257) for my Gridseed, every other try with a rasp cgminer binary gave me around 10% less hashrate ...

I tried out this ... but looks bad on the pool ... compared to the one I'm using

I did compile the changed Blade cgminer, which works and shows hashrate accurate for the blades ... chips=40

I am using the old 5 chip bfgminer 3.10.0 with 5 Gridseed blades. Connected directly into the computer (no raspberry pi) via hub.



I get a total hashrate of about 22-24 mh/s which is not very good as they were advertised as 5200 kh/s per unit.

with the cgminer I'm using I get 5.2mh at the pool with ... 800 freq.

... however hashrate is wrongly displayed on the cgminer rasp.

I have dropped cgminer, tried all possible forks on 2 raspi's with 10 and 20 gridseeds connected.
Lots of HW error's and they all seem to crash after a while.

On my setup, bfgminer runs most stable (https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer/tree/gridseed)
It also has a higher hashrate reported on the pool compared to cgminer, especially on p2pools.
Don't know if it supports blades yet.

The new cpuminer fork from sandor111 also looks very promising. It runs stable on raspi and has this auto tune function.
Some pools don't work yet, but there should be a fix for this very soon.

I don't understand anything about these windows instructions :

Basic Windows build instructions, using MinGW:
   Install MinGW and the MSYS Developer Tool Kit (http://www.mingw.org/)
      * Make sure you have mstcpip.h in MinGW\include
   If using MinGW-w64, install pthreads-w64
   Install libcurl devel (http://curl.haxx.se/download.html)
      * Make sure you have libcurl.m4 in MinGW\share\aclocal
      * Make sure you have curl-config in MinGW\bin
   In the MSYS shell, run:
      ./autogen.sh   # only needed if building from git repo
      LIBCURL="-lcurldll" ./configure CFLAGS="-O3"
      make

It doesn't work yet with the Blades, but it's easy to add support for it, I just need someone with a Blade willing to help me test it.

Have a blade, have already compiled software and been messing around. Had no idea it didn't work with blades, but it definitely sees them

I would be more than willing to work with you and get this ironed out. CGMiner is terrible for me (on the blades) and BFGMiner is alright, but slows down.

I have no clue what cgminer I have running on my pi. It was posted by somebody in the forum.

This version is what has worked best for me. Shows the most shares at the pool and does not taper off.

Nice. I like cpuminer. But I'm guessing it still doesn't know the hash rate, so I will depend on the pool stats.
