ICO rating sites should not be a factor for decision. I look at them only to have a starting point but as they could be manipulated I always do my own research and not relying on them.

I believe that the ratings can be bought, and I think that all investors know this, in no case do not trust these ratings, it is better to trust your knowledge and your analysis of the crypto project.

You can refer to the section but should not care about rating but should read the comments of experts. Some sites like this kind of evaluation can be accused of being bought in cash.

I do not fully trust any ICO ratings sites , because they are caught in lies so many times . Everyone can get a top rating there , all you need to do is to pay required amount of money and voila , even a dirty scammer becomes a top-rated ICO .

They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?

Its just another way to predict the project works or not don't trust fully

Currently for now I didn't trust any ico rating because many of them now are good at voting and at the end they will gonna abandon the project and those rating didn't help too much because I think this is the way of scammers to steal many money from the investors.

I usually try to analyse all social media chanels of the project before the ico rating site, you can't rely only on this.

What kind of useful information you can get from social media channels? It is not too hard work to create good social media channel. Most of scam Twitter and Facebook accounts look good.

ICO on the market there is a huge set and almost all projects are cunning to somehow attract new users.I don't believe in project advisors and ratings, because you can buy.You need to be careful when choosing a project.

I can't trust them because I have seen several times that programs with rating: 5 or 4.8, turns out to  become scams. I also think they just pay someone to get their rating, who ever pays more gets better rating.

Rating sites do a very useful job. First of all, they sort and structure the information in such a way that it is very convenient to read. Of course, one should not trust a hundred percent of their opinions, but the main characteristics of the project can and should be used for independent analysis of the project.

They're pointless IMHO.

The concept is great, a site where you go and find all the upcoming opportunities, perhaps ranked in some meaningful way and with expert opinion thrown in.
The reality is that anyone can list their ill thought out idea then pay to get a boost to the sexy section on the front page. All you're seeing is a ranking of who paid the most to get their idea pumped to the top of the list which could be the inverse of how good the project is since the people with the best ideas and convictions are less likely to pay for such a pump and find themselves listed somewhere out of sight.

If you want to find what to invest in then you have to do the homework, talk to people involved in or following projects and do the usual due dilligence.

Just my opinion based on what I've seen in the past.

I discovered that ICOs projects rarely have medium or low ratings on ICO websites and most ratings are always high or above average. This means that most ratings are biased and do not reflect the quality of the projects.

No,as you understand that most of the ratings and the markets are sometimes made in favor of certain people,or someone paid off,or the interests of someone haunted, though there is really these companies who are employ rules, and really think all adequately

some ICO rating sites are being manipulated and also biased in their ratings. I believe they are not always honest in the ratings they display about some projects. Else why would some of the projects displayed on ICO rating sites with over 4 rating still end up failing

I believe that ratings are all purchased. In addition, even if the rating is honest, it is simply the opinion of one person whose name and whose success we do not even know.

rating on the sites - only one of the criteria when choosing a project, and there is not only a rating. Information about the team and links to the official website and bounty (not in all projects).
Simply convenient that almost everything is collected in one place.
And the rating just attracts attention. But he is not a decisive factor
