Trying to improve compatibility of my miner, I ended up stumbling on a rather odd situation. I cannot figure out if this is something I should figure out or signal to pool operator.

Using sgminer as pulled out from sgminer-5.1-2014-12-20-win32.zip, just downloaded from nicehash. My hardware gives 1141 khs with the following settings:

Code:
sgminer --no-extranonce -o uk.p2pool.geek.nz:5567 -k qubitcoin -u WALLET -p bleh -I 16
(P2P qubit uk node)
Resulting in:

Diff 18 is already extreme for a 1MHs miner, staying at 4.5 would be more appropriate in my opinion but at least I got some initial accepts which confirm me this thing is working and after all, the pool is trying to guess against my luck.
Now, let's try again with noncepool:

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I am very well aware of that switch (sgminer issue #312, #317).

The real question "between the lines" is... why is this still needed in 2015?
This is unnecessarily fragmenting a standard as far as I am concerned and that switch makes the problem worse. The bottom line is that the end user should not be concerned about this. Why is this happening?

Myriad Dice, Coinbomb and Transparent Ponzi Games!

Play and help support Myriad development.

Very large increase in maximum dice bets, a 2500 MYR bet on the 1% game yields a win of close to 1/4 million MYR!

https://cryptap.us/myr/dice

From this week's donated dice, coinbomb, and Ponzi game proceeds:

no donation this week, house is -4395.25474558 MYR

but some very large coinbombs are ticking... Smiley

Keep playing, remember that 50% of proceeds go to MYR development. Play for a good cause!

Myriad Switcher GUI Windows build ready.

http://[Suspicious link removed]/MyriadSwitcherGUI

This is going to be so boss. Just unzipped it and loading my bat files.

Question though: For kh/s next to each algo, are we supposed to enter a rough value for what our total rig outputs?

PS: Two things-

1) You should join the IRC and at least lurk until someone has another question/bug with the new GUI miner algo switcher (live feedback ftw!)
2) We need someone to build our new Electrum wallet for Windows too. There's compensation available and since you clearly were able to build your algo switcher maybe you could help with the wallet too?

^_^

Hello I think i'm posting in the right thread. If not sorry and can you direct me to the right one.  I just downloaded the Myriad Switcher GUI V: 0.3.4.0 and tryed to open it and i'm getting a cx_Freeze: Python error in main script.  is this the latest ver, or is there a more upto date one.

A new version of M8M is out.

Hopefully fixed the long-standing bug of high rejects on some pools. It turns out the difficulty calculation was wrong. I have trouble understanding how this could go unnoticed so far but since I have been mining only on a couple of pools I guess I have been lucky.

There's some slight chance this fixed bug might have impacted high-performance configurations as well but this can only be confirmed by testing.

Required: Windows x64, AMD GCN card (tested to work on 7750), drivers 14.12 Ω.

Wait! Last drivers?

Yep. This is for occasional users and I want them to keep their systems up to date. I am proud to say it keeps my system so smooth I can play simple video games while mining and still being at least as efficient as established miners.

Please report all issues with pools and configurations. Hopefully the reject rate is now on a reasonable level.

I'm still having issues with pools, both PPLNS and P2pool.

Pools I've tried mining on: birdspool.no-ip.org:5567, stratum.dgb.theblocksfactory.com:9000

Yes I know 2 different coins. On birdspool my hash rate isn't reported, but telling me shares are being sent. On Digibyte side, I'm getting no shares received. I've checked my own net and I can mine off both of those servers with my configured sgminer.

Cards: 280x, 3x R9 270's. Drivers 14.6... The most stable drivers I've tested since I've been using my config for sgminer. Been stable for 4 months on the same config and drivers.

Oddly enough, I have tested both pools and I can tell those are supposed to work.
Do the shares get confirmed or rejected?

While blocksfactory reports my hashrate in less than a minute, it can take up to 10 minutes before I get listed on P2P.

I am now working on the nonce-checking system which would allow to detect kernel wrong results. Nonetheless:
  • I know by direct experience old drivers don't compile the kernels correctly.
  • I have received comments in the past about compatibility with hi-end cards. With no hardware and no extensive testing this cannot be fixed any time soon; hopefully next release will alleviate the problem.
  • I have received comments about compatibility with multi-gpu systems. Oddly, some users also reported the thing works exactly as expected. Again, with no hardware and very sporadic feedback the chance this gets fixed any time soon is extremely slim.

You mean just get data from all markets? There is a public API method that returns recent buy sell data and orders for all markets here:
http://pubapi.cryptsy.com/api.php?method=marketdatav2

Then you just have to parse for whatever markets you're interested in...

Has anyone successfully compiled a mac wallet?  Also any update on the official mac wallet fund?  It's really quite bad for a major crypto like myriad to be without a working (local) mac wallet when every shitclone seems to have one.
