Looking forward to hear the news about MAMMMP later on today!

Lets take it to the moon..or at least 900 Smiley

900 is too low a value for this coin, especially considering coins such as BC and DRK reached those sort of levels.

its been a thing of this coin, i have no idea either, such crap coins reaches high value without anything to offer to the table, this coin is really undervalued and once enough people realize that i expect a boom that i cannot even predict how high it can go, its the only coin worth staying as much as alts are concerned. its really a coin for everyone.

Smiley If you guys think for a minute about the millions of people who have to work in another country so as to feed their families and need to send money home, then you will realise just how earth shaking an sms send/receive setup will be. The missing link for these people is getting crypto back to FIAT,  the usual centralised gateway bottleneck. If you can also crack that problem so as to make the earner money to family frictionless, you will shake the world. Forget about "ANON" crap. SMS can mean you are onto the real deal. Very good luck with it. Don't give up like Feathercoin did. Shortsighted. Things like MaidSafe, Ethereum etc are near. Combination of Myriad and v2.0 platform might enable true sms decentralised money transfer. If you crack it, literally millions of people will thank you.  Grin
+1, think m-pesa solved the coin/fiat in a great way: let everybody with a internet connection and some fiat start there own local business.
They receive the coin f2f with there customer, pay out in cash & then trade in the market for a profit.

Simple & local.

MYR got 2.880.000 new coins a day, how about BC & DRK?
Also think MYR can benefit from a stable price & stay far away from all the trading speculation. For me MYR is about technology, usablility etc.
Hope this will never be a "To the moon coin"

...its really a coin for everyone.

I can't quite agree here, if you mean the mining aspect. One CPU-only algo would really make it for everyone. A lot of people only have a built-in low-end graphics card (low-end office PCs/laptops), that hardware can't compete with mid- and high-end GPUs, which work great more or less for 3 out of the 5 algos. 2 algos for ASICs, 3 algos for GPUs, none for CPU, that sucks.

Meaning, you still have to invest in hardware to mine it, meaning if people invest in hardware, they mine what's most profitable for them to recoup their costs, as this turns into a business for them, not a hobby. Now, if there was 1 CPU algo, people would just mine it as a hobby, on their regular low-end PCs or servers/clouds, which can be idle most of the time, and why not utilize those idle CPU cycles.

And if a lot of people had that coin mined as a hobby, that would mean greater adoption and recognition, that's the point. As it is now, it's mined by the same miners who mine everything else for profit and dumped at exchanges.

Can devs change one algo into a CPU-only, or possibly add a 6th CPU-only algo and hard fork the coin? I am sure this single hard fork would mean a lot to the survival and prosperity of this coin.

Qubit is for CPU's

Really? I had an idea GPUs still have a big advantage to CPUs in skein, groestl and qubit from what some miners said here. I didn't compare performance myself, I don't have a GPU.

I've been asking for this since page 5 so no - not gonna happen Sad

Qubit is for CPU's

No its not, Qubit GPU mining is 10x faster than Qubit CPU mining (high-end i7 processors)

It's impossible to have a CPU-only algo. Whatever a CPU can do, a GPU at one point or another will be able to do better.

Not true. Anyway, dev should take a look at Proof-of-Burn algo currently implemented by Slimcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=613213.0). It works by burning coins you mine. The more you burn the more
stake you have in the PoB - more blocks. Burning coins equates to more hashing power. Similar to PoS but better. We need this to stop the dumpers, give them an incentive to hold & burn.

This

and it only encouraged botnets to mine it until there is proper GPU mining software released.

How did Quark and Securecoin manage it? They were marketed as CPU-only coins.

Yeah, the PoB concept is working really well - less-than-optimal returns, too many bugs at the moment and no one has managed to make a fully-working pool so far. It's a nice idea in concept, but in practice, best wait and steer clear from it for now. You do not want to destabilise a coin like MYR with such an untested concept.

It's impossible to have a CPU-only algo. Whatever a CPU can do, a GPU at one point or another will be able to do better.

How did Quark and Securecoin manage it? They were marketed as CPU-only coins.

And Quark became mined by GPUs later on. Same for DRK - it was a CPU-only coin at first.

I see no problems with the current algos in place. There's the ASIC algos, the AMD-favourable algo and the NVIDIA-favourable algo, along with another one which can be mined by CPUs and effectively it's the best algo for CPUs (qubit) since the other two GPU-centred algos (skein and groestl) would be a far better option for GPUs than if they were to stick to Qubit, hence freeing this algo up for CPUs from its own nature. I hope you understand my point.

It's best to get this point regarding multi-algo out to the masses, since most seem to be discussing the SMS wallet; while that is a useful feature, it has nothing on the usefulness of a multi-algo mechanism.

I think there is some space for optimization of CPU miner - so new i5/7 processors would hash faster. Just we need a person, who can make those optimizations. Some algos can be optimized 2x-3x compared to the speed of simple sse2 miner, just by adding sse4 and avx/avx2 instructions...

You guys get to find out what MAMMMP is on Friday. Be happy!

Today is Friday, we are waiting eagerly)))

Damn time zones. Today is Thursday in America, which is where both I and David Seaman live. I guess one more day for you?

And what about now? ) Friday.
