 Not trying to be rude, and I know this app is nice, (although I never use it in my scenario) but can we please make a new topic for this, and only use this forum for Myriad itself? I love announcements that have to do with the coin, but tech support for an app that supports Myriad really should be elsewhere.

oh sorry, i thought the myriad switcher is part of myriad, never knew it just supports myriad since it was named after it. and i also got it from this very thread just a few pages back. anyway, thanks

I've heard another dev from a competitor coin saying that they plan to do an algo change to something similar to Myriad and that "they're looking forward to working with the Myriad team".

I sure hope that's not true (or simply wishful thinking/hype on their part).

If someone wants to imitate or copy, make them do it on their own!

In the final analysis, I think we'll be able to count the survivors on the fingers of one hand, and it would be much more than a shame to be eliminated from that short list by someone you helped.

Digibyte and Dvorakcoin will/are using multi-algos as well. I do not think MYR has anything to worry about at this point, as long as the website gets finished by next week and a fresh marketing effort is made in order to promote the upcoming projects. DRK took off after several other coins started using X11

I think you're right, but that's not my point. I'm saying that MYR shouldn't help them at all.

I remember years ago talking to a friend about competition (and the threat of competition) to his business, and I still have his answer clearly engraved in my mind: "I'm the competition", he said. That was so profound and so correct that we stopped the conversation right there. There was no point going further, and one thing you can also be sure of, he would never have shared any of his business secrets either.

Let others come along and give you indirect marketing, but always be sure to make very clear who is #1, and who is an aspiring wannabe (especially when you've got some not too reputable folks on your heels).

This is just the block explorer taking too long to respond (more than the http timeout set in the config) Not much I can do if the app can't fetch the difficulties to calculate profitability. You can try increasing the timeout, but if the block explorer API goes down you'll still get this error message
