Hello everyone, been following Myriadcoin for quite a while. Got back into mining the coin. I love lightweight Wallets, so I started using the Electrum Wallet... btw this is one of the best, easiest, secure wallets I've ever used. I've used other lightweight wallets, and they just don't have the features like this one does. The one feature that well just makes it awesome because I'm straight lazy... It does the automatic conversion of MYR > BTC.
Well if you like it also read this: http://www.reddit.com/r/myriadcoin/comments/28i3vq/the_delayed_announcement/

We need a pump, a good one. We need ATH badly. If things remain the same we're gonna see 1xx levels soon and probably two digits numbers in future.

I am having a difficult time solo mining myriad coin. I am currently using ccminer and mining through a pool, but after seeing that I have already hit 11 blocks and only received about 1600 MYR, I have realized it will be much more profitable to solo mine. How should I setup my config file is what I really need to know. The one in OP does not work for me. Do I need to specify RPC port?
how many computers do you have mining ? what algorithm? are you behind a firewall/router? answer these 3 questions and I'll give you the right config. 1 myr-gr yes rpcuser=user rpcpassword=pass rpcport=10889 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 rpcallowip=* server=1 listen=1 daemon=1 algo=groestl addnode=85.195.118.163 maxconnections=100 rpcthreads=10
if the ccminer is on the same computer as the wallet no other modifications should be done, just set the connection to http://127.0.0.1:10889if it's on a different computer but on the same network, you need to get the internal network ip for that computer (192.168.x.yyy or similar) and connect to http://COMPUTER_IP:10889, if it's on a different computer and on a different network (eg connected to another provider or in another location) get the internal network ip of the computer as the previous step, go to the router port forwarding settings, set the 10889 port to point to that ip address' 10889 port and connect to the external ip address as such http://EXTERNAL_IP:10889. edit: also change user and pass in config. This worked!! Thank you so much.

Guys, what do you think about this words of Bryce Weiner? The words "Primer was right", spoken in that precise order, is a well-known demonic spell that opens up portals to hell. Let's try to refrain from using it in the future, plox.

Well if you like it also read this: http://www.reddit.com/r/myriadcoin/comments/28i3vq/the_delayed_announcement/This is a secret or something? Don't you see this coin is dying and need any kind of hype asap? This news should be everywhere in this thread: title, on top in first post, in every page from now. Huge letters, simple message that anyone can understand and pictures of scratch cards with MYR logo. Post on twitter and thread title on reddit says nothing to me, new guys won't even get interest when they read them. "This kind of promotional campaign has never been done before and has global reach, yeah ... global. Although it is quite big and it will instantly be copied by other coins..." - Why we can't take adventage of being first in that kind of thing and ride on hype wave? This is the opportunity to mark our place in crypto community and reach for more new people who's searching for good coin to invest. I don't know guys but it seems that you don't want any publicity at all.

Well I'm on it simply because it is the only mineable coin for older cards. That means its more spread out, which can be good and bad. Bad because short term price isn't good. Good I hope because it WILL get pumped, and when it does, because of the hype and the spread of coin, it might just go a little crazy.
At any rate, with my old hardware (sure as hell not buying any new), no reason not to Speculate on this one.
I wonder why new Fad coins don't use this Algo? it is by far the best for me, maybe not for newer cards?

From http://www.reddit.com/r/myriadcoin/comments/28i3vq/the_delayed_announcement/Prypto Partnership w/ Electrum Prypto PluginFirst of all I'd like to appologize for teasing yesterday and not delivering. Working with 3rd parties is difficult. Be it as it is, not everything I wanted/needed to make the announcement is in place so I'm forced to half-ass it because I don't like building up tension and pre-anns. Enough introduction. I promised a partnership, a tech release and a little bonus for the waiting: The partnership: it's prypto ... big surprise (yayyy info leaks). The details: it's true we're going to run a promo with them involving 1000 MYR-Prypto scratch cards that will be used as gift vouchers and distributed to [undisclosed] via [undisclosed]. This kind of promotional campaign has never been done before and has global reach, yeah ... global. Although it is quite big and it will instantly be copied by other coins because ... copy/paste hype coins ... it will be a pilot campaign, a test before the real campaign that's going to be EPIC. I censored some of the details because like I said not everything is in place and I'd rather have a complete disclosure later along with a donation campaign to fund the promo ... because you know ... no premine The feature/tech release: it's an electrum plugin, a prypto redeeming electrum plugin: https://i.imgur.com/ush9U7E.png [1] , (written by yours trully, yayyy my first pyqt code)the plugin is open source, it's already on our electrum git (has been for a few days but I was sure you guys wouldn't think to look. It's a very usefull plugin for new and old users and will come in really handy when the promo campaign commences. Being an open source plugin we'll probably see a lot of copies (electrum & qt copies since it's pyqt and it can easily be ported). As of yet I did not have any test redeem codes to test the latest changes made to the plugin (I have tested it on other prypto available coins) and to top it off our windows compiler is on vacation. Sigh ... 3rd party partnerships. ) The bonus, this is a long term feature and will be carefully implemented but I made a professional infographic to explain the gist of it. The feature is : cue drum roll ..... sms wallet prypto redeeming. Can you figure out why ? Let my award winning infograph explain: https://i.imgur.com/bc4OXif.pngThis is only a first step towards building the required infrastructure needed to bring cryptocurrency to the underbanked. There are far great plans rolling out but they require intensive thought and work and should start to bare fruit in Q3 of this year. As a teaser just think about how the reseller network would logically function: resellers buy myr to create cards, reseller sells cards to end users, end users buy the cards, users send the myr to let's say families at home (let's imagine the end user is working abroad), families at home go to a local prypto reseller and sell their myr to get cash at the current exchange rate, reseller buys myr to create cards, ... [infinite loop detected]. We're working slowly but surely working on creating an economy, not a trading economy, a real world economy.

That's why there is no such thing as MYR bag holders, only MYR supporters with a vision that will be rewarded for sticking with their coin. Everyone who talks about MYR being a bag is an immature trader.

First of all, can I be absolutely clear that this is not fud. It is a serious question and I'm asking it here because I know the devs of this coin are working hard on sms sending (so that people with dumbphones can use crypto) and are producing solid results. Let's imagine I am working in a foreign country so as to provide for my family in eg. Indonesia. Let's say I know about BTC and have set up an account which I can fund from my bank in eg. Malaysia. I have access to a smartphone, Wi-Fi, internet and therefore to the exchange (Fiat-BTC-Crypto) relatively easily. Or I can buy Prypto to load to my wallet. So far so good. My family live in a village. No Wi-Fi, no home internet, no smartphone. Only dumbphone. I want to send money. I use crypto as token value of the money. Means to an end until fiat currencies go digital. At this stage, I can send via sms to dumbphone and a wallet is created for the family. Problem is how do they access the wallet and how do they exchange for local currency when they have no bank account and no internet? A local agent accepting scratch cards for exchange to local currency leaves a lot of room for heavy mark ups unless there is some way to control exchange rate and fees. We are trying to get away from rip-offs aren't we? Will Prypto do that? Would it be possible to have an ATM that would accept a keyed in code (such as from a Prypto card) and issue value in local currency? A fee for every transaction to be paid to the person hosting the ATM? Perhaps a system could be developed whereby the dumbphone could communicate directly with the ATM via bluetooth or sms? Obviously, I don't have the answer. I would be extremely rich if I did. It seems to me that this is the final link in the chain. The world will never be the same.
