No, it's virtually impossible for someone running a p2pool node to steal your coins. It's much easier for someone running a "real pool" to skim coins off the top. Maybe you missed my post above:
Quote
To both of the above posters, you have to mine on p2pool for 12-24 hours before you reach maximum reward. It ramps up slowly, and then you will continue receiving payouts for 12-24 hours after you stop mining. Just give it a day or so before you evaluate your reward and hashrate to other miners.

Looking at the graphs you posted, it looks like you haven't even been mining 12 hours. A dead hashrate of 5-10% is normal for p2pool, everyone has it so it evens out, just try and pick a pool close to you with low ping value to minimize it.

It is possible.

I dont like p2pool so much, but to find out what is going on, mine the same time at a real pool and compare your payouts.

I'm also mining on p2pool for scrypt and qubit here: http://birdspool.no-ip.org:5567/static/MyrNodeHub.html

Not sure why some people like to say p2pool isn't a "real pool". FYI, p2pool is the only myriad pool that has scrypt merge mining implemented, so if you want some free dogies and peseta coins, register your wallet addresses here http://myriad.p2pool.geek.nz/merge and get on p2pool. P2pool also helps secure the network against any possible 51% attacks (although this is probably not as much of a concern for myriad, but if you support the coin, then it doesn't hurt to support the network).

Thanks for your answer MaxDZ8

I have bee mining on birdspool now for about 12 hrs - on 2 separate computers - lots of "accepted" 97% and 98.7%.  Doing the GroestlCPU64 on both as this is only one that works for me?

still not 1 MYR in either wallet?

Maybe I wait 24 hrs and see what happens

the birdspool seems to be selected auto by Simplicity?

Is it a good pool? and can you change pools in Simplicity?

Had a 3rd computer and tried setup of simplicity - dont work - but other 2 mining fine - just no payout which defeats the purpose really

but I have to say the SIMPLICITY is a very nice piece of work to get newbies started on mining - just has to pay out though at some stage?

is the Electrum wallet auto linked to the miner?  I see no setup for this?
Yes it is! They somehow pull a wallet out of electrum. At least that was the case for 0.2.
It's a bit of magic.
If so - how often might you expect a deposit to the wallet?

I have lots of "accepted" YAY etc - but not one single MYR in the wallet?
It depends on the pool. You should be getting something every time the pool solves a block. The payouts will start small and grow, I'd say you should mine at least one hour. You will continue getting some MYR after you stop mining.

For P2pool (as simplicity uses) you should be getting coins at least once per day. The pool I use finds a few blocks per hour.

It's not like you can stay there counting the seconds but it's a fairly fast process. I once have been credited in a matter of minutes ( Huh ) for 2 minutes of mining. I wasn't expecting that.

That said, if you're reading this and still got nothing, either you have mined very little or you have a problem!

Actually its all good

I can see my 2 miners on the birdspool website - hashrates etc - and the correct wallets - WOW!

can see predicted payout

guess I just have to wait for it to come to wallet

very impressive

Thanks to the devs for SIMPLICITY

Very elegant piece of work

The reason you aren't getting any payout is because there's no one else mining with you on groestl Sad

You should really try qubit, as there's more hash there (although it may take some time before you actually find a share).

Hey thanks birdonwheels - I'm getting payouts now so no probs.  Just wanted to see if it all works - and it does. Just research.

Just bought some too just to make sure I have some skin in the game - seems to be going up.

Interesting that the Android wallet is being downloaded by mainly UAE (United Arab Emirates) and Nigerian users!

The SMS wallet is the main reason I came to this coin

Tim Draper picked the future in unbanked adoption
(Draper's firm, Draper Associates, has made an investment in Nigerian mobile payments company Pagatech.)

You should really try qubit, as there's more hash there (although it may take some time before you actually find a share).

That's right. There needs to be a block found before there's a payout . . . and if you're the only one mining (virtual solo mining as it would be), then the entire block reward is yours! The flip side is that it might be a while before you hit pay dirt.

Great job you've been doing with your pools Bird. Excellent work.

And now, the real reason for this post: you know, my only problem with Qubit is that my cards heat up quite a bit; the energy consumption doesn't budge from the optimized myriad-groestl level, but the cards heat up a bunch and my fan speeds hit 70% or so to keep them at their 80º target. What's your experience?

a question to anyone who knows about how SIMPLICITY works

Is it possible to change or specify which wallet address SIMPLICITY mines to?

It seems to randomly pick an address in your electrum wallet

And then for some reason - decides to change the address from time to time?
