I don't understand why so many people have this all or nothing mentality. How about this, sell off half so you recoup your initial investment and then let the rest ride? This way you won't have lost any money in the event of a crash and still have upside potential with the amount you're hodling.

If you are losing and losing profits today, then it is the worst course of action to sell all of it because it won't make sense. Although I won't blame your wife for being impatient, after all you have waited for 8 months without any profits. However, if you have waited for 8 months in waiting for the right time, then another month wouldn't hurt, right?

Maybe i like many people here, i was profitable in December 2017, BUT i didn't sell because i think market will up more,
Then like everyone have seen, market has gone down for 8 months, and now i losing so much, but i still wait, i believe that market will go up and i will have profit again.
But my wife was impatient, she told with me "i think you should sold all of it".
I will don't sell anything, but I feel sad because I made her disappointed, she had hoped for me.
If you truly believe in cryptocurrency, you won't follow your wife. You are the one who has experience in this league. And if she is disappointed in you, i guess it is up to you how to make her understand. Cryptography is all about knowledge, discipline and most of all, patience. Tell her that doing this long-term hold will benefit you both. It is really a disadvantage if you sell all your coins now, because what you have said, you are losing on it. Why not take that as a starting point that you will hold and sell it when it blooms. |

Selling all of your coins will only bring you losses and not profits. So it is much bettet if you would hold on to your investments or rewards a little longer and wait for the price recovery.

If you HODL Crypto you don't panic sell, and as we're always reminded you only lose when you sell. if you Invest a Good potential Coin then You can make a good profit from there.
I strong believe on your point, as long as you did not sell at loss, you have not lose, you will lose when you sell of your coins at a loss, so i will advice you to wait for some time, think about cryptos in the next two to five years and give yourself some hope. |

You're agree in general, but maybe this family need money to mortgage, to university to the children and they need money now, immediately! That's why people usually say that you should use only your free money to invest. In that way our wives won't be worried about money that stucked in crypto. |

I understand your position and frankly I don't blame your wife for telling you to sell. However you just have to explain to her that its in the best interest for the both of you if you can wait for the market to bounce back. Explain very patiently to her how normal it is fr the market to be in bear season for a while, if possible show her previous charts in forms of easy-to-understand diagrams to help her understand more. Dont forget to be patient and understanding when explaining

I had exact the same situation last winter with my wife also))). She had a plan to buy an apartment, market went to hell, now I have lost in volume about 6x from the January, but I still wait for the good times. Let's see where whales will go next winter. |

I can understand how you felt at that time because sometimes we want to spend time making a profit. I was also like my friend who kept some NEO coins at a very high price but i did not sell and now can not sell. But I hope the price can recover or higher so do not think too much. |
