i hope not!

i feel raped

i feel hopeless

my coins 100K worth which i paid $$cash for is stuck in limbo in MintPal land

i will never trust leaving my coins in any exchange ever again Sad

Devs will fix this issue, no doubt.

Take away message? This attacks effectiveness is proportional ti the ammount of coins kept on exchanges and inversly proportional to the ammount of coins being staked.

Keep your coins in your wallet and stake them.

Only move what ammount of coins you whish to trade in 1 trading session to exchange.

Withdraw a.s.a.p.

(serisously though bter had no problems, wtf minty, ammature hour or what?)

Yeah, I deposited to Bter right before announcement that market is disabled. Now my coins are invisible, somewhere on Bter side, but not visible in my account.

Looking to buy 1.5 million c2 for 2.5 bitcoins. Here's your chance to walk away with at least something. First come first serve, we can use anon136 for escrow.

I beleive this is more of a measure to ensure if scammer basicly faked c2 into mint to sell for btc then he still has c2 which he could cash out @ bter.
bter's down, they have measures against this sort of thing (100 confirmations!)

Your c2 is safe as houses @ bter.

Incidently, the market was picking up as it was frozen  Grin

That picture doesn't really make sense along with the conclusion you've made from his offer.

UPDATE:

A FEW WORDS FROM ME (THE HEAD DEV):

I sincerely apologize that the coin has been subject to an attack twice.  This is emerging technology and I am relatively busy in the real world.  However, I assure you, this coin is my passion and my real joy.

The problem was that the exchanges had a majority of the coin in their wallets and exchanges do not stake aka "mine".  So someone did not need 51% of the 60 mil total coins.  They only needed 51% of "staking coins".  Being that most coins were on the exchanges, the attacker was able to figure out a double spend method without 51% of total coins.

Mintpal does not have the double spend coins.  I dont know what the attacker did with them.  SO HERE IS THE PLAN.

1. We are going to make a new coin with 60 million total supply and a lower interest rate (5%)
2. We are setting up a db to allow people to send in their old coins.  IF YOU HAVE COINS ON AN EXCHANGE, LEAVE THEM THERE.
3. Any wallets created after 5/16/14<--THE DAY OF ATTACK, are invalid and WILL NOT RECEIVE NEW COINS.  This will eliminate the attackers stash of coins    and we will be left with a surplus.  Mintpal lost 22 mil coins from the double spend.  We will reimburse Mintpal, so that they can give users back their coins.
4. The board members have decided to keep all of our coins in 2 or 3 wallets and have them staking 24/7.  This will make sure that there is always a sufficient amount of coins "minting" and will nearly eliminate 51% attack potential.
5. This will take time and we ask you to bear with us.  Again, I apologize for this.  Thank you all.  Smiley

Please do not send emails to Mintpal, Polo,or Bter they are aware of what is going on and your coins are safe.

What about mintpal they don't have to take some consequences(if so they should refund all lost coins and btc) that they don't react quick enough to make this attack unsuccessfull or we don't protected our coin not good enough?
Of course the cheater is guilty of the attack ,but who should take the consequences?

NO, absolutely do not increase the supply any further, and definitely not 500m that will make all coins near worthless, not to mention the attacker can just dump his remaining coins

i suggested this a few pages back. I propose a solution similar to asiacoin

Figure out the attacker's wallet. invalidate the attacker's coins (prevent him from trading in for the new coins).

This will leave us with a surplus of 28m coins or whatever.
Convert all 60m coins into a new coin (with the same total supply) then redistribute the amount of coins that the attacker held to the community and those who took a loss.  or keep some to fund the game development, I'm not sure how the logistics of redistributing coins to hundreds of people will work out.

also make the top wallet list transparent so whoever tries this again will be taking a huge risk

whatever the solution is, it cannot benefit the attacker or they will do this again

not bad but we have to wait some time

The problem is that I deposited some minutes before they disabled market. That's why I am worried, because even after 9 hours my account doesn't hold sent NC2.

On BTER or Mintpal.  Bter has raised confirm times to over 100 confirms.  It will show up but I have asked them to freeze the market.  Dont worry.  They are there.
