I dont want to rush things, but it is not healthy to have the exchanges off for a long period of time.
When can we expect the start of the transition?

When can we expect the start of the transition?
Personally I would prefer the team to take their time this time and get everything right. I'm a long term holder and would not be fazed if this transition takes several weeks.

They took around 2 weeks to make the last transition, now they know how to do it i dont see why wouldnt they be able to do it even faster this time. The problem isnt with the code it was with securing the network. So its another copy paste and were set to start the swaping. This shouldnt take too long people have had enough of these transitions i think.

Well then its even faster then i though i dont see why this should take longer. Pausing the trades for 1 whole week is more then enough already.

Will new coin be based on current code or there will be taken a pure PoS coin source to adapt... I think the last option is desirable.

My coins are safe and it's not as if I need them to start the car or something. If you're a trader then I can see why you would want a quick turnaround but I'd like to see a well thought out and carefully implemented transition.

Just wanna say, clearly the peercoin model of PoW/PoS (thanks hero member, forgot your name), is exposed @ low market capitalization levels (unless a benevolent monopoly is created). Please consider NXT's PoS model as a possibility (not to mention c2 could actually use alot of NXT features).
Best,
G.

+100000000000000000 DEVs may add gambling features and other features as well this will be a revolutionary change for C2, if only possible!

I got interested in this coin. Heard about the double spend attack. Tough luck. Then I found this: 97.5% of the coin was distributed (given away) to the first 1000 people with a wallet. THE DISTRIBUTION IS OFFICIALLY OVER!!
So some dude got enough coins (totally free) to double spend with success. Looking at the distribution model I bet he had more than 1 wallet. Now I'm thinking. Why should I pay for this coin to someone that posted a link on their FB some time ago? Why is the distribution over and the limit is 1000? Why not keep more coins in the dev hands and continue with distribution? I would totally play the game and hodl the coins. Many newcomers same. More coins in dev hands would prevent the attacks. All I'm saying this is not PoS that failed here. The distribution model is bullshit.

I wonder if that possible to reduce the coin to 2 to 1 consolidate in coming new coin? Then set the remain surplus into ultra high hashrate PoW mine able coin to help maintain the coin along with low interest PoS coin. The combination may help prevent double spending and significant reduce 51% hack to extreme low possibility with ultra fast fast 1st confirmation in wallet the extend to ultra slow confirmation after 3rd, 4th and 5th. Thus protect exchanges from hacking target due to the coin needed longer timeframe confirmation to help track down irregular activities of coin easier.
I think it should be possible except need some deep thinking coding.
30 millions coin2.3 will not just another reborn but also a project improvement.
Also, please make the Dev maintainance coins public from the beginning this time. In my opinion, Mintpal should take part of the responsibility of the mess because it didn't set the confirmation higher and loose monitoring their server coin irregularity activities.
I rather lost a few hundred thousands coins than let my million of coins in wallets gone worthless.

Wow. Such anger. Possible but not likely. You don't usually screw with your investments. Easier to sell during bubble if he bought them cheap. Anyway I gave a good idea. Might be used for reincarnation. Hope you are not the voice of this community. That would really suck.
