We all know this year is one of the worst year of crypto, market is dead and new investors are in fear to enter,  My portfolio is 75% down as compare to January. How long this market will take time to recover?. I am stucked in holding.

Depends on which coin you're holding because each coin has different losses and gains. It can range from 1-3 years because several coins are relying on the price of Bitcoin and there a lot of investors like you who are waiting for the price to go back to $15k~. Those are just my estimate don't take it serioiusly there's no accurate date for when it'll recover. For me I think it's still a good year for crypto because the price of the top coins are maintained after the correction.

I think this will take a long time, I also assume that the year later the state of cryptocurrency will not be as good as last year. nowadays there are very many crypto and many also do not work on the project seriously.

Truly speaking, I guess that the market recovering will happen not so soon because the market is still in the strong downtrend. Moreover, after the downtrend it will probably be a period of consolidation which may take a long time so recovering is not the near future. I am disappointed like and you because I am holding ETH and BTC and my balance has been decreased sufficiently. In an unfortunate moment, I bought some ETH when it was about 470. Well, not only you are waiting the market growth.

There are many speculations that the market price will pump after the SEC decides to sign the cryptocurrency ETF which will be decided within two months. This is speculated to bring new players in the market hence there will be market uptrends, however it is still now known what will be the real effect of the ETF in the market and we will only know once it has been signed.

I think the price of crypto in the market are slowly to recover.  And maybe soon their will be a strong movement of price value in the market. That's give us all sign that the market are starting to full recovery.

IMO, under normal circumstances we would have to wait at least a few months, mainly because we still don't know for sure if the market has bottomed or if it's going to lower more, it's necessary a stability time without significant drops before waiting for a new rise. However, there can always be external factors that radically change the dynamics, such as a hypothetical approval of a Bitcoin ETF.

I think we are going to have to get into 2019 at a bare minimum before we see anything remotely close to a rally.  We may just skip along here for a year or two while everything shakes out and consolidates.  You can be sure though whatever pumped the market last time will want to dance again.

I believe it will take months for the market to recover. I think we should help each other to stay firm with our faith in crypto. this will help in building confidence with both the current and future investors. I believe marketing crypto and eliminating scams would help crypto market to rise again.  This would be a challenging move especially the scam issues but I think this is the best way to reduce hesitations on the future investors.

I don't see any markets recovering yet. Now the CoinMarketCap is red again. The price of Bitcoin is reduced to $6100 (-7%), Ethereum is falling down to $330 (-10%), other crypto currencies are sharply going down too. In general, the current global trend of crypto currencies movement is negative. It seems that the crypto exchange markets will recover to $20000 during a pretty long time. I guess it will take at least a half year.

some investors are afraid to enter and invest the money maybe because they do not fully know the advantages or benefits of using this virtual currency.
I think we should intensify public promotion and share knowledge about ease of transactions and security that are truly safeguarded if using virtual currency such as bitcoin so that they will become more familiar and know these advantages.
and at the end they will have the motivation to invest the money they have.

I think it will take many years to come back from this slaughter.  I assume a lot of people have dropped out and wont be back anytime soon.  The losses got real extremely fast.  It will take time for people to jump back in.

I think the over-coverage of BTC due to gains was the primary issue. Anytime something is mostly hyped based, that's never a good thing.

It's hard to speculate on BTC (or other digital currencies) and the price thereof. I personally believe, if BTC (and other digital currencies) are adopted at a constant rate, and BlockChain technologies are consistently used, then the price of BTC will raise (but probably not as much as fast as it did before - maybe as much).

Maybe it will take a long time, but every year, crypto currencies are increasingly famous and make the price rise. Therefore, maybe at the end of the year or the beginning of the year the right time to sell is what you are holding.

I don't think it's the worst year, the bitcoin price is still better than last year before the big pump, most of the people lose money because they enter the market at the wrong time and nobody thought that the market is going to crashed so severely, but if you an early adopter then you will see the price is still a good price

From what I see the bear market is still going to continue, many positive sign still hasn't able to make the bull market, and we need to see the etf approval, if its being deny then the price will fall down deeper

Do not know when this will be amazing again, but it should be noted that this is not the worst year for cryptocurrency, maybe this year is not good for you personally with a 75% portfolio decline, increase and decrease are closely related to market cryptocurrency, so this is said that behavior very normal with extraordinary value reduction outside of public reasons last year, so it needs correction and correction to further strengthen the value that will be achieved later.

Some markets try to pump but are not strong enough to do everything with public conditions that still do not believe the situation, in the recent increase that occurred was the use of some people against ETFs by waiting for a decision and hoping that after the agreement would be profitable, after the decision it was postponed and it was clear that in a few days there was a lower decline than before, a big story was needed to encourage the public to come in, because the ETF had one more chance in the next month, people were waiting for something like this.

I think we should see signs of recovery this winter season as the crypto market is usually in a big slump during the summer and prices start to pick up quite a lot toward the end of the year. Even if the price gains aren't as high as we would expect, I believe things will speed up a little bit next year and in 2020 we should have gained enough footing back to shoot for a new ATH hopefully after next Bitcoin halving. I guess the big investors are waiting for the price to come down more before they enter the market again.

It actually depends on what coins you are holding?  Some coins have strong fundamental and usage and hence will recover faster than those who are more or less testing coins.

This is a very good question because i do believe in also holding and i do not know when market could recover like for now that bitcoin is having a tough market price that is relatively always falling down. Another question is that how could bitcoin recover after its huge market price fall down?
