Can someone sticky this to the OP - dont know how many times i have posted this.
If your wallet is not syncing and your using the windows wallet
Close your client
goto the start menu and type in %appdata%
Look for the faircoin folder
Delete everything EXCEPT for wallet.dat and faircoin.conf
Re-open the wallet
You will sync.
This worked fine for me. I'll send a copy to the dev to sticky this in the op.

BUILD A MAC WALLET!!!!
The Mac client http://fac.blockx.info/faircoin-0.9.0.1-macosx.dmg seems to crash on mid 2010 Mac (and earlier ). I have tested the client on hardware of early 2011 and more recent and it works fine, can anybody else test it and post your success/failure with your hardware specs? thanks Someone needs to add that to OP as well.

I understand that but the bigger question is why do we have to do this repeatedly to keep in sync? This will be the fourth time I have had to do this. Is there a problem with the windows wallet? None of my other wallets have this issue.
Now this, is a good question. Seems i have to do it every time i open the wallet.

what we need .
1 new multipool with dev behind
without these , its smell shit for this coin
Folks, Seriously... Stop messing around with custom failing multipools. Hashcows already accepts MINT, BC, ZEIT and BTC as payout option. So where's FairCoin?! @Dev; please talk to the folks from HashCows and get this coin on the radar!

I have an interesting question... Do exchanges that have large amounts of FAC (or any other coin with POS) in their wallets get stake payouts?

sha-256 mining multipool online .. yeah
with a 50.million faircoin vs litecoin 84 million, it has the potention to become at least 0.025 btc/fac now it is 0.000025 btc/fac,
so if you buy now 100000 fac for 2,5 btc, it is in a few months 2500 btc. a fair and nice investment i think.....

Same issue here . Why does earning Stake remove the coins from my wallet?
Anyone?
And no they are not "just maturing" they are not listed under the Stake area at all anymore.
Just all of a sudden i get notification of coins staked and then my wallet is 1k less FAC
EDIT: Seems like the stakes are getting no confirmations as well.
^ This needs some dev look at - anyone else hitting stake with their coins? I had one today with no problem. Did they get confirmed? Hi, I have an issue too with a wallet. The minting work, i've received 5.28 fac for 1k fac but my wallet didn't syncronized today, i have delete everything except wallet.dat and peers.dat My wallet is now synchronized but other minted which corresponded to 10k are generated but not accepted and 10k fac are no longer in the wallet and no in stake Each new minted with 1k has disapeared. What can i do ?

Leave the wallet open, it will mint automatically... When you repair your wallet and get your coins back, you ll not get stakes coin back which was middle of the process and incomplete so wallet has to go through minting process again from start. 50 block confirmations required for minting coins to get into the balance then only you can use it as your balance. FAC blocks are slow so it takes time

The main problem Faircoin suffers from is that the initial coin distribution process at the beginning wasn't actually fair. We all trusted the Faircoin developer not to game his own account creation system and award himself 50% of all the coins spread out over a thousand accounts.
Compare this to Blackcoin which distributed out the coins via the celebrated proof of work mining process pioneered by Bitcoin, which cannot be gamed or cheated, and most importantly is visible on the public blockchain for all to verify mathematically. Blackcoins distribution process is simply cold hard unbreakable logic that cannot be denied.
To attract bigger money to invest into this coin is going to be a problem going forward as word about the truth is spreading.
Hahaha mr_random you have always been a shill for BC. ON JUST ABOUT EVERY THREAD THERE IS LOL. you always seem to bring the distribution of the coins you bash into question, yet you always fail to realize just how poorly your beloved BC was distributed (99% of coins distributed in ONE WEEK of "celebrated" PoW! Most the multipools at the release were "invite only". Many people reported being unable to solo mine because of the huge diff jump right at the beginning. Just go read through pages 1-20 on the BC thread.), and that is why you see the games being played on the Mintpal buy/sell books everyday all day back and forth between big holders. You compare a 1 week PoW phase to the "proof of work mining process pioneered by Bitcoin"- what a fucking joke. "which cannot be gamed or cheated"- it got "gamed and cheated" by being only 1 week of PoW! 1. I am not a shill for anything. As we can all see from the meteoric price rise of Blackcoin, anyone who did their research and took into consideration my advice will have made themselves a small fortune. We are talking 1200% gains even for the latecomers that people like you said had missed the boat. I must be a funny shill if I've given great advice that would have made people a LOT of money if they followed it. 2. Lets make this simple. I would rather have a 1 week PoW proof of work distribution process than a 1 YEAR "hand out money to anyone" process. When comparing the two the time length is irrelevant. You have NO WAY of knowing that the developer hasn't gamed his own system and given himself an absurd amount of coins... which he can dump onto unsuspecting investors. Go ahead and try and prove me wrong - you can't. You can't "game" mining - if you could someone would "game" mining bitcoin and make themselves rich. If you want a lot of coins you have to have a lot of mining hashpower and that costs money. Compared to someone handing coins out and giving themselves coins for free? With no publicly verifiable ledger? Come on now. 3. Not only that, the price of Blackcoin remained low and super cheap for weeks. Faircoin immediately jumped straight up to a falsely pumped price. At least with Blackcoin, people could buy in cheaply if they missed out mining. 4. The crypto community never supports heavily pre-mined coins. 2 months from now this coin will be called a scam whenever it's mentioned. I've been here over a year and post here daily I know what I am talking about. I honestly think a lot of people here read my post/s last night and dumped afterwards. It was 3 quick posts in succession in the space of an hour but I think a lot of the information filled people in with the risks of this coin. Faircoin has been experiencing sustained dumping ever since it's first pump: Why could that be?

If you dont like the distribution model, that's fine, but please dont act like POW does not have its own problems. I invested in lots of different altcoins and bitcoin and the cryptocommunity as a whole will gain from experiments like this. In the meantime you'd be better off trying to find new opportunities in stead of bashing other coins. It is just not rational as an investor to get emotionally attached to coins...
