so what are you mining now?
Whatever X13 coin happens to be the most profitable at the moment. I have no interest in holding them, since most of the coins are crap with no real direction other than "get on exchanges, separate investors from their BTC". I only hold BTC, EXE, VTC, and LTC. Same here. But since i keep my rig in a datacenter i have no issues with heat or electricity costs I keep mining EXE and these days it has excellent payouts!

It is not anonymous at the moment despite what is written in the title. Although the dev said he will integrate Stealth Addresses in the future. This will increase privacy, but will not render it anonymous (anonymity is much more difficult to achieve, anoncoin running through I2P or zerocash running through Tor will offer a much more complete anonymous network). Stealth addresses will be nice addition to make EXE a good coin for shops imho. Because by using them the shops will keep their privacy and no one will be able to know how much EXE their account received. It is no business for any payors to know how much goods the shops solds. With bitcoin you have to reuse new addresses to hide amount you received, and those can be linked through the blockchain hence privacy is low. With a stealth address the privacy is garanteed and this is a good thing IMHO. Hence I am happy the dev want to implement this interesting feature. https://i.imgur.com/rHhNKL6.jpgThe primary benefit, the paper says, is that payors would not learn of other payments made to stealth addresses, while third-parties would not glean any information from the transaction at all. More info : http://www.coindesk.com/stealth-addresses-secret-bitcoin-privacy/IMHO the dev should remove "anonymous" from the topic and replace it with "private" and "Stealth addresses" when he will have implemented "Stealth address". No need to try to catch the current pseudo-anonymous scam coins ala DRK, XC, XLB and others. IMHO this is not good to mislabel a result of a technology to make it looks like another one, especially when Stealth addresses in themselves are an excellent technology which has its niche market, as a normal shopping feature for clearnet (not much shop owners would like their customers to watch their bank accounts, would they?). In contrast to several people posting above, I do not think Stealth addresses is something for darkmarket at all, it is totally of no use for darkmarkets. Do it, dev! Let's implement them!

They need to wait for the Vertcoin Devs to implement this so they can copy pasta it.

Please keep away from the hyped "anon" craze. Much better to provide "privacy". It is much more appropriate a term to use from both the tech reality and consumer wishes point of view. It will be refreshing to have a coin not making empty promises. Privacy can be delivered. Anon, Stealth, Dark smell of dishonest. Just a point of view.

Bullshit, vtc has the same java wallet as execoin - done by the same dev, the same dude that also did the wowdoge wallet, there was absolutely no development involved by the execoin "dev" - you really dont want to know what shady shit happened there just so execoin could release it first, if you want to know ask the dev of that wallet. The project was funded and paid by vertcoinmarket and is called vertigo wallet.

But the past has shown that EXE Devs are not able to make development on their own. So announcing the stealth addresses after VTC did is just another example for this.

Hi all
Some opinions please. I currently have 2 Sapphire Dual-X R9 280x cards that I right now arranging to be send back to Amazon due to failing cards on 2 of the original 3 I bought, so I'm now going to be needing some new cards. I've been mining Execoin for weeks, months even now cos I like the idea and the Devs seem to be involved etc.
Suggestions on good mining cards... especially for cards that don't have failing cooling fans in less than 6 months use. I think I'm only getting 2 this time as trying to put 3 in a HAF-XB case meant they ran at 70+ and an 80+ temp. I guess I'm looking at 280x cards maybe 290x depending on monies, I still haven't paid for my rig since prices crashed with the bitcoin price fall in recent month so I'm not over joyed with the prospect of paying out a lot more
Thoughts?

Good news is the gpu prices have come down, bad news is earnings have also... My understanding is that for the 280x series Asus has the best cards; the Toxic is also good (I think people say it is louder). The Asus has a low clock speed than the Toxic out of the box, but I hear it overclocks really well and makes up the difference. I have a vapor-x 270x that I got on sell and it runs well and stays really could, so you could also consider getting 3 or 4 270x gpu's (probably a better choice than going 290(x) right now).

Send them back to Amazon for a refund... That will significantly help your ROI prospects. Or if you must mine go with one of the Nvidia 750Ti cards, much lower power consumption than the AMD cards, so you'll have less problems with cooling. You need more of them though.

Well I have considered giving up on the mining and selling the rig, but I live in hope of a ROI. other people have said about 750 ti.. I always thought AMD cards were best for mining, also not sure how to fit them to the rig yet. I've got risers I can use but its about having a place to put the card in a HAF-XB case has anyone used Sapphire Vapor-x cards?

I have a vapor-x 270x and it runs cool and hashes well, I get around 210-220 kHs. I do get a few HW's a day, but still manage to average around 200 WU's. I haven't used a 750 ti, but I understand that the new Maxwell architecture hashes well (I'm curious to see how the rest of the lineup does).
