Is that the reason Doge is so high in value on this site?
People are trading their BTC to doge and withdrawing in doge since you can't withdraw in Bitcoin?

correct On the other hand if you trust Vircurex you can make some profit if you buy Dodgecoins somewhere else, transfer them to Vircurex and sell them to Bitcoin. Not for me - my trust in online markets went away with MTGox.

not so easy because you wont get transferable altcoins for a good price if you want to buy for one or more bitcoins.

Seems like the DGC hot wallet has also dried up. No more txids.

Grumble.... Sent some DOGE to Vircurex to trade but now my BTC is stuck It is not frozen...but when I try to withdraw it logs me out and gives an error about pop-up blocker or URL change. I signed up today so didn't have anything there before now.

I'm sure Vircurex is banking on it. The douchebag banksters have been using the same playbook for centuries.

Thanks guys for updating this thread as bad as the news is. Good news is that withdrawing my DOGE balance showed up on my personal wallet quickly. Hippie Tech, I too received the same red box error and was logged out as I tried to withdraw BTC, even though these coins were in the available balance column, not frozen balance. Assuming BTC can still be sold, does anyone have suggestions on which alt to trade for and why? I've noticed DOGE value dropping relative to BTC for 6 weeks since the big early February pump and am not sure I want to sacrifice the BTC for overpriced DOGE on Vircurex just so I can withdraw it. Then again if I leave it there, I don't think it will be refunded to my depositing address and judging what happened to Gox, I can consider it frozen forever. So far I've downloaded the official VTC wallet and it's synching to the network - is there a light version available like Multibit?

Thanks, that worked! Now my BTC balance is only 0.00000420 Dodge withdraw was quick.

Thanks guys for updating this thread as bad as the news is. Good news is that withdrawing majority of my DOGE balance showed up on my personal wallet quickly. I left a small amount I can afford to lose for experimental trading. Hippie Tech, I too received the same red box error and was logged out as I tried to withdraw BTC, even though these coins were in the available balance column, not frozen balance. Assuming BTC can still be sold, does anyone have suggestions on which alt to trade for and why? I'm not falling for the FUD U buy out option. This whole thing seems like a ploy to get us to buy overly priced alts. Who knows.. if I had more to lose, I'm might not be saying that..

people are paying up to 50% to get out, so the market is pricing 50% as missing, even more on ltc (but mainly due to the fact that to get out you have o sell your ltc, so ltc looks underpriced here).

I find it absolutely unacceptable that my email to customer "service" and/or PM to Kumala has not been answered after 5 days - I can see he has been online yesterday.
