The one day i decide to take the plunge and buy some BTC and the most reputable looking website is down! I appreciate the service though, it looked the most trustworthy  Smiley There is a worrying amount of attention being brought to bitcoin at the moment, i hope the prices don't go up till i have some Cheesy
Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

Britcoin is coming back up after a lot of testing. Also, the mininum transaction level will be siginifantly lowered in a matter of minutes. The bids will be matching imminently as well.

We will be daily processing withdaws and deposits from now on.

define 'isn't working'? Have you tried flushing your dns?  ipconfig /flushdns  - britcoin.co.uk is resolving to 109.75.183.105 for me.

For me at least, www.britcoin.co.uk still isn't working. Just plain britcoin.co.uk is, though. You might have to type "http://britcoin.co.uk" into your browser's URL bar to stop it automatically adding the www.

I also sent some funds yesterday morning from a Lloydstsb account. I know it says to allow 3-5 days but as it's the same bank i guess it should be pretty quick?
Is there a set time of day when deposits usually get processed or is it as soon as they clear?

Sorry to be impatient, just want to get my hands on my first bit coins and if all goes well send another transfer today.

Genjix is incredibly busy at the moment, seems like the site's growing a lot faster than expected, which is good! I've been waiting 5 business days for my funds to appear in my bitcoin account, I imagine there will be a big processing of transactions sometime today or at the very most next couple of days.

icicle... Yeah i feel your pain dude that must suck... I cant talk for britcoin really so i have no idea what's happened in your case... All i can suggest is try to e mail again... Also the guy is offering a free service and you can imagine how many people are using it, mistakes are bound to happen, i know it's tough when its you, but just try to stay positive... I hope you get the matter resolved soon... It's a bit worrying that the britcoin charts have just seemed to stop... Hopefully we'll have news of what.s going on soon.

Thanks!

I got a nice email from Genjix. Last time I checked my account still looked empty, and now the site is down for temporary maintenance.

But this is all still in Beta. Shit happens.

I think what's bothering me the most is the substantial amount of cash tied up in fiat. I hate that Smiley

I trade a lot. I had someone at the bank offering me an account paying a whole 3% the other day. As someone who stuck every spare penny in gold and silver this past year I wasn't that impressed. I said to ask me again when it was 3% a week.

I suppose this is just going to take as long as it takes. I'll look at the charts again when the money lands.
