bitcoinfog is turning scammy; many bitcoinfog users are using BitLaunder.com now (my own site)

BitMixer.io also works, but there are problems with it; for example if you enter an invalid forwarding address you may never see your coins again.

And with my service, I am here publicly helping people, responding to emails within a few hours, and we insure deposits up to 1 btc against hacking (that is if the entire service got hacked, not just one member account being hacked due to a poor password ..)

Also we have a pool of 1000+ btc at all times.

BitLaunder is not a scam.

The only legitimate complaint to be raised against me is the so-called theft of $80k.  Believe whatever you want about that, but if you don't load $80k to BitLaunder then you should be fine :-)

It's not a "so-called theft", IT IS A THEFT AND YOU ARE A THIEF.

You ADMIT this is a LEGITIMATE COMPLAINT and yet STILL you keep my $80K !!!

BitLaunder IS A SCAM.  You advertised "unlimited volume"!!!  Even if it did "overwhelm" your mixer holdings, ALL YOU'VE GOT TO DO IS REFUND THE EXCESS YOU CAN'T HANDLE LIKE I HAVE ASKED YOU TO DO REPEATEDLY FOR SIX MONTHS.

So make it right, Michael, PLEASE REFUND MY $80K from your "1000+ BTC pool".

Admit you still have my money and give us your pathetic excuse as to why!

...

I have never used either bitlaunder nor bitcoinfog so I comment only on my experiences and observations from comments above.

1) I have had great luck with bitmixer.io, over 30 transactions.  I had but one glitch, which was resolved successfully.  Just follow instructions and you should be fine.

2) With sharedcoin.com I have now had THREE glitches (and ONE with blockchain.info's own wallet service too), all have been resolved, but my observation would be that blockchain.info seems to have continuing problems as they work on their software (maybe they are under constant attack?) that their services are glitch-prone...

3) Follow instructions !!!

4) With Fog and Launder, ahh, why use them if they have such bad reviews?  Perhaps people who have had GOOD EXPERIENCES with Fog and Launder might care to offer their experiences...?

5) Note that I have no experience with TOR so cannot make a useful comment.

I believe that freedom and BTC mixing are complimentary!  Use any services that work well for you.  It is a step we can take for liberty.

I too had a good experience with bitmixer.io AFTER BITLAUNDER AND MICHAEL MORIARTY STOLE $80K FROM ME.

Bad news. I put a couple of btc's into bitcoinfog. I am sure I used the correct URL, http://foggeddriztrcar2.onion.

The bitcoins showed up in my balance after over 12 confirmations, which is way longer then it normally takes (usually shows up after 6 confirmations)

I made a withdrawal of all my btc's from bitcoinfog.

Now more then 12 hours have passed and I still haven't received anything.

The worst thing is that the withdrawal doesn't show up in the withdrawal history anymore. There's an older withdrawal showing up in the history, but not this latest one. My balance shows 0 BTC. It's like the bitcoins never existed.

I also noticed that on http://bitcoinfog.com/ there is no longer any link linking to this thread on the  bitcointalk.org forum. Isn't that a bit weird? I hope we don't have the next gox/mintpal going on right now!

Hope to hear something from support soon!

Same thing happen to me on bitcoin fog, same URL.

I deposited some bitcoins that took way more confirmations than 6 until they appeared in my account. The next day I withdrew them to an external wallet over a 6 hour period. The withdrawal appears and is labeled "finished", but blockchain has no record of any transaction nor have the bitcoins arrived to the destination address. It has been about 15 hours now.

I've messaged support on bitcoin fog and PM'd Akemashite Omedetou on this site and am now waiting for some resolution.

I can only bitcoin fog is not a scam. I've used them fairly extensively in the past without any issues so I'm hoping for the best.

I'll update as to how this proceeds

By some bitcoin miracle I have just now received the first confirmation on the transaction from blockchain. It looks like the bitcoin gods monitor this forum.
I guess there might be hope for all of you that have lost bitcoins to the internet vortex

Same here, bitcoins showed up a little while ago.

A public comment from bitcoinfog would be nice, because i do want to continue use their services, but straight communication is important.

EXACT same thing just happened to me!  After 12 hours of submitting my withdrawal it shows my transaction as 'finished' and only 0.10 BTC (a very small amount of my transaction) have made it into my receiving wallet and the same is reflected in the blockchain.. No other transactions since then... I'm hoping for the best.  I'll tell you what though - I've lost all confidence in fog at this point.. I'll definitely be switching to a different service unless support responds (unlikely).

My first and second transactions (deposit+withdrawal) through bitcoinfog went smoothly a few weeks ago, BUT the third transaction a day ago did not: I was scammed -- heed the warning! The deposit I made never showed up in the account. The blockchain shows the coins received at the deposit address and transacted a few hours later to a bunch of destination addresses, but account balance was not updated. Until a few hours ago I was able to still log in into the account using both foggeddriztrcar2.onion and fogcoren4tt6pz4m.onion. Contacted support yesterday and no reply. At this point, my login credentials are rejected. Coins still remained in the account. Total loss: existing account balance plus the new deposit.

An identical incident of not receiving the deposit has been reported in this thread a few months ago (in addition to more numerous reports of failed withdrawals and account credential changes). The conclusion that was already stated in this thread earlier is that bitcoinfog does selective scamming on later transactions (perhaps the scam is triggered by transaction amount): first they obtain the user's trust by correctly processing the user's first few transactions (which are expected to be small since the user is cautious) and then scamming the user when the user entrusts them with a larger amount. A lucrative strategy.

DETAILS:
(1) There is a curious difference between successful transactions and scam transactions: the transacted amounts from deposit address to bitcoinfog pool addresses in the successful transactions (I had a sample of 3 of them) are small (<0.5 BTC), but on the scam transaction, the amounts are an order of magnitude larger (2-5 BTC), except one address. Maybe this is just a coincidence, who knows.
(2) At foggeddriztrcar2.onion the 'news' message says the site moved to foggeddriztrcar2.onion, but at fogcoren4tt6pz4m.onion the almost identical messages says it moved to fogcoren4tt6pz4m.onion. Suspicious.

There have been payment delays during the last 2 days. We have been working on the problem and it is now resolved. All outstanding depositsand withdrawals are completed. Sorry for this delay, it was caused by a technical problem in our hardware infrastructure.

WARNING!!!  I sent a large amount (>2BTC) and waited for 6 confirmations, them 12, then 16, still never shows up in my bitfog account.  after 33 confirmations in the blockchain, it dumped all my BTC to a bunch of separate wallet addresses,  The secondary dumps got 15 confirmations, and my BTC still is never even showing up as deposited on their site.  I am using the correct URL http://foggeddriztrcar2.onion Not a phishing site.  I sent messages to support and got no reply.  Either their site is seriously messed up or they are a scam, either way DO NOT DEPOSIT ANY BTC THERE AT THIS TIME.  If and when I successfully recover the funds, I WILL update this message/thread!

See identical post from Abtcuser above.  This is not a one off problem.  Either a SCAM or something very wrong.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!

DO *NOT* USE BITCOINFOG UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNTIL THIS IS RESOLVED!

YOU WILL KNOW HERE WHEN THIS IS RESOLVED
