Monero is one of my favourite privacy coin and I do think it has potential to grow. I don’t know about the target price of $15,000 in 5 years, but I do expect the price to be more than $2,000 by then.

Not really. Monero can never be the next BTC. It scales badly, and it needs to improve scaling. Monero's average transaction sizes are much bigger than Bitcoin's. As a result the Monero's blockchain size grows like 30GB per year which is not a problem as such but bandwidth consumption is. So it will not be able to compete with BTC. In my opinion it is the best privacy coin and I like it more than Zcash and the other privacy coins on the market.

Its too early to tell. But, at some point. Monero would have to surpass bitcoin's demand level and if ever Monero comes to a point where it became much higher than bitcoin then that will be the time when bitcoin becomes too unimportant and not much needed.
It would probably takes 10 years and we will see what might happen. But for now, its too impossible.

Yes, but i really think it would probably take 8 to 12 years before the tables have been turn. For now, Ethereum has the highest probability of reaching bitcoins current value even surpassing it. But it pretty much uncertain. We will never be so sure.

It is always going to be difficult. I would always call Satoshi a genius for even coming up with the Pseudo anonymous thing in the first place which is more like he kind of fore saw some of the things that could actually delay its growth in the long run. The same thing that makes Monero so good when it comes to being fully anonymous is the same thing I see destroying it in the long run. 5 years is really a very long time. Bitcoin took 4 years to reach $19k so I think it is possible for Monero to reach $18k within the next 5 years.

I think any altcoin has that chance to better Bitcoin in the future. However, for now, Bitcoin is still the king of cryptocurrencies due to many different reasons. I like this currency. Montero is a secure, anonymous and untraceable cryptocurrency that claims to be the main settlement means. However, it cannot replace Bitcoin. He's the king of all currencies.

It always said many time and apparently Bitcoin creation is different from the other cryptos which could made it irreplaceable coin. Even though  how strong and productive Monero is, but still there is no chances to take the lead and replace bitcoin.

I think that monero is indeed one of the potential coins for the future but I'm sure that monero will never be able to replace bitcoin. Bitcoin is too strong in the crypto currency. Bitcoin is deeply ingrained in the hearts of people so that bitcoin is difficult to replace with other coins. In my opinion, bitcoin will still be the king of crypto currency forever. Bitcoin has gained public trust and popularity which is very difficult to change so that these other coins are like only bitcoin followers whose prices and future depend on bitcoin. Not to replace bitcoin, including monero.

I don't think monero has what it takes to topple BTC as the king of cryptos, why? Because monero is a privacy coin and a coin that will topple btc must be more transaction friendly in terms of newbie daily transactions, it must have a very high speed and be more profitable to mine.
This will lead to a better adoption and usage.

From $106 as monero's price sometime in September, it is down to $64 as of now. Bitcoin's price is around $3,400. Toppling bitcoin down should show at least a price closer to $2,000. In five years time, still bitcoin is the number cryptocurrency.

I will be extremely difficult for any project digital asset to claim superiority over the almighty Bitcoin. The usability and penetration gathered by Bitcoin over the years has led its dominance and it is for that reason that bitcoin has maintain its status as the number one cryptocurrency. Monero, though a great coin and project, has not completely won over the market just yet and overcoming bitcoin is simply not on the horizon at the moment. The both projects aren't comparable as Bitcoin will always go heads and shoulders over Monero.

People sometime overly in elevate a coin which is one of his favorites, thus making his brain no longer know bitcoin and thinking it was an easy thing to replace him. Come on, we talk about bitcoin, a coin which is undoubted and definitely wanted by everyone, how can it be replaced by an altcoin that only has a few supporters rather than bitcoin and not everyone wants to have it.

Monero is a good strong coin but way weaker than a bitcoin.  I don't think that Monero will ever overcome a bitcoin. I personally bought some monero coins as I like how it is developing during all this period though there are many things that need to be improved too.

It may possibly be. But the main part of monero coin is to make transactions more privately and can never be traced. And bitcoin transactions are exposed or be viewable by public. But using monero as a terms of payment is good especially when you make your transactions be more privately.

it's hard to say this in the near future. I actually prefer bitcoin cash which will be the next bitcoin. Hardfork, which was conducted by Bitcoin Cash at the same time yesterday also made a big step in bitcoin cash to defeat Bitcoin, we'll see.

I wouldn't even compare Bitcoin to Monero. These are absolutely two different assets. But if in General we talk about investing in Monero, I think it is quite a decent coin which has a number of advantages, so I think Monero has a future in this market, but not instead of Bitcoin, and next to it.

for me Monero will not be next BTC because there are still many altcoins that are better than it is just like the ETH that is very low today and I'm sure that when the price rises it might be the next BTC , especially now the BTC price decline continues and is not rising.

Monero coin or XMR coin has a great potential value, but monero right now is way too far than bitcoin, although it is possible for monero to reach bitcoin's ptice value but it is too far for now. Maybe it would reached ethereum in the next year, but not bitcoin as so far.

You are right that Bitcoin will always be the best coin of all as people fist look at the market of Bitcoin and then invest in other coins so none of the coin will go higher than Bitcoin. The price do not matter there are some coins which have price more than Bitcoin like project but still it is far away from Bitcoin.
