~
to be honest, this account is fine for me... i've been using it quite extensively now and i alrady have a few merit on it, so i might as well just keep this one going and forget about the raskul one.

i have my sig showing who i am anyway, and i'm pretty well known so...

my only wonder is.. when will this account move up from Jr Member (specifically)?

When you reach the 10 merit milestone.

groovy, thanks

Lol, that would be funny if it was sarcasm, too bad it isn't.  That's also a great way of finding your way to "Ignore" list of almost anybody who is likely to give out merit.

Yeah, we understood that part. What you don't seem to understand is that begging for merits is more likely to get you red-trust than any merits.

Grow up then, and stop begging and writing stupid-ass and non-substantial posts.

You, ultracrypto, are a relatively new member.  You have a choice.  You can build your post history by interacting in interesting bitcoin talk forum topics and threads and providing helpful or useful posts, or you can start your post history with a bunch of stupid-ass whining.

The choice is yours.  If you provide good posts, sooner or later you are going to receive merits, but if you have no intention to contribute, then you can spend a lot of energy whining about the merit system and "how difficult it is to earn merits," and create a fulfilling prophecy... and apparently some members are fine to take that perspective and that kind of seemingly meaningless activism.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

If you are investing time and effort into creating a new coin, Copper membership (if you mean this by "I have to pay to display picture again") is not a big investment to let you advertise your coin. In this case you don't need to earn merit to become a Jr. member again. But if you post something interesting/meaningful in the forum sooner or later you'll get merit and you can become a Jr. member again without the picture restriction.

Wow this rule is great now I see the issue of other people. Because I see a lot of people making a thread to meta regarding merit someone say my rank is Jr member suddenly back to a newbie another say's I do all my best to gain 1 merit I make a constructive post I commenting other people who need help no one merit arrive in there profile. After I read all the thread regarding merit issue I think they funny why they need to make a thread regarding to merit instead of reading and focus to their rank up. Thanks for this Mr. Legendary Admin Theymos this rule is the only way to kick the spammer.

~snip~
From my observation since joining here, a lot of people demoted to newbie and most of them again got back their rank, either by the grace of their alt accounts or by couple of bucks or by one quality post (behind 100 bounty reports). So, I don't think requiring 1 merit for being ranked up is a great solution. Having 1 merit is nothing hard at all.

Yea and some buy merit just sayin, saw some shitpost on telegram from a guy who wanted to buy hundreds of merit to rank up to legendary lol...
They just crawl their way back. Shitposting will be back, if not now then in a few weeks or in 2019.

Don't worry, maybe in the future there will be a rise of the merit limit for members to 30 and junior members to 10 then altcoins boys will be here for decades Wink

If you did not value your BTC talk forum accounts enough in order maintain them, then the existence of such account(s) (if so) would not necessarily contribute to your current supposed increased status that you are attempting to assert with your current account.

Accordingly, if you have meaningful forum experiences, then perhaps you will be able to share those forum experiences and continue to make contributions to the forum, and sooner or later your experiences could be able to shine through your contributions, perhaps?  that is if you don't get too caught up in trying to assert largely irrelevant status claims that no one can really verify (and it does not matter too much) anyhow.

By the way, if you are merely attempting to assert status without having access to the prior accounts, then that seems merely a sign that you are relying on the wrong types of factors in order to get other posters to appreciate your past contributions, assuming they exist.
