Just like an account where one's fiat currencies are kept so also is wallet where digital assets or cryptocurrencies of crypto lovers are kept. Can the wallet be vulnerable to hacking and if possible how can that happen? If you have experienced it before, I want to learn from your experience.

Nowadays it is so easy to hack somebody especially if you have a background in hacking, so for me it is possible but with a proper care on your wallet details mayne you can counter it.

Every digital storage is prone to hacking as long as it is connected in the internet. Remember that we are in a digital world. Every code can be decoded. So, better to use cold wallet as an option for storing coins.

I think if you buy a hardware wallet then you are at risk of wallet hacking? what if the company that owns the wallet puts some software to it to record everything? And also beware of keyloggers in order to avoid private key disclosure.

Hacking too much happening even perhaps countless but personally I have never experienced it. However I gained some of the main factors why wallet being hacked, that from of people on social media and it's their own experience. There are many who do not consciously have access a phishing website and there is even a very careless not to activated 2FA. It is very regrettable because 2FA so protective factor most important when the email and password has been leaked. Other factors can also of personal computer attacked by malware virus injected. So don't carelessly download or acces particular website. You need to know crypto is full of risk and become the most target for hacker. Online wallet is the most large risk, so be careful. Maybe you could try the offline wallet.

Brute force hacking just by knowing the public key is impossible with current technology.
If a quantum computer can be used to decipher the private key by using only a public key, that will be the end of crypto currencies.
Our belief in bitcoin, eth and all other altcoins out there relies on safety and trust with the blockchain cryptology.

That can happen, the majority happens because of their own carelessness. Teledor in putting down wallet storage data, cannot keep wallet privacy data from people around. Careless in using the internet so that it provides a gap for hackers to be able to browse wallet data. Everything that smells online is quite risky, so be as careful as possible in accessing the site.

That is very much possible and several members within the crypto community have fallen victims to that and it is better to use a hardware wallet to keep our funds safe. Staying cautious from the actions of scammers is quite difficult because they seem to change their ways every now and then but one simple thing that you can do to stay safe is to avoid following up on links that are sent to your email promising huge returns on investments. Also, refrain from sites that are not secured.

Hacking my wallet I think that might happen because I personally have experienced the same thing. Because I am not careful about phishing links. Everyone must have experienced the same thing or could happen to anyone. If you are not careful, there will be hacking in everyone's wallet. Always ignore the link that pops up.
Thank you for sharing. I always ignore such links, we should be extra careful with digital and cryptocurrencies because it's all ones and zeros and we can't actually hide anything. Hackers are everywhere. Nobody is 100% safe.

as you are talking about, most cases of MEW wallet burglaries occur because they are stuck in a phishing site. that is because many people just open a site that is dangerous, and randomly search for it

Of course wallets can be hacked in different ways. When one carelessly enters one's details in a Pshing website, such account is gone already. The only extra safe means is when you get an hardware wallet. I think with that, your wallet can't be hacked.

At the moment I certainly doubt that it is possible to crack any wallet , it is very difficult , but in the future I think the old wallets which do not update the protection will be confirmed by this

as long as I am in the crypto world there are no cases of hacking personal wallets. there are only problems with hacking exchange, phishing problems and so on. but none of these problems really can hack the wallet. so I'm sure the wallet has a high level of security and is definitely safe.

Maybe everything in this world. Even hacking your wallet. If you want to protect yourself then observe the security and anonymity on the Internet, and do not tell anyone that you have a cryptocurrency. Buy yourself a hardware wallet. These actions will protect you.

What types of wallets you prefer to use? I know that there is only one good wallet for Ethereum - it is called Myetherwallet. For BTC u don't know good safety wallets except bitcoin core.

It is not necessary to be too closed to everything, sometimes it is no longer the right thing to do. Let's be normal, choose your safe wallet with the reviews, the reviews on the bitcointalk from which to draw for your wallet appropriate and usable. Do not try too hard, because your money is still in your pocket  Roll Eyes.

So far as I know, the wallet is available to be hacked and We already know about hacking of the wallet on the exchange and the MEW. So sad, but this is true. If we still use the online wallet, the possibilities of getting hacked is bigger than offline. That is why we must be careful in saving the key.

It's possible, your wallets can get hacked if you don't keep your computer clean and don't keep your wallet information secure, any information like password, private key, seed word are important and you must keep them secret, never disclose it to anyone.

At present it is very rare to find cases of wallet theft from hacker attacks, but that is still very likely to happen if we ignore some important security aspects
