Well, hell yeah. Wallet hacking is very a 110% possible. Most times, it occurs as a result of carelessness, sending your private key or logging on on phishing sites. Do not trust any one when it comes to the safety of your funds. You need to be very careful. I was once a victim and believe me , it was devastating at first but with time I got over it and moved on. Stay off phishing sites and don't give your private key to anyone, that will reduce the risk of you been hacked.

Well, to the best of my knowledge, wallets can be hacked but this is dependent on the owner of the wallet, like if you put your private key on a site that is not trusted, so I think private keys should be kept properly so you don't fall a victim of hack.
