Nothing dies.
There are more projects that don’t collect the necessary funds, as investor confidence in cryptocurrency has weakened.
But this is temporary. Surely soon we will see more good and promising companies.
I really think we are seeing a change in the attitude of the community towards icos, in the past even if there were some scams people viewed icos with good eyes and as an opportunity to make a difference and to make some money as well, but now the view of those projects is very negative, even if the market of cryptocurrencies began recovering today I have my doubts we will see a massive recovery of icos.

Financing through private sales is the way of the future, and it has already caught up with the popularity of such traditional types of financing like vc and pre-sale of the shares. Therefore, the ico projects will develop and evolve .

ICOs these days perform really badly. September ICO analysis showed that the best performing ICO - Tolar lost 45% of the price after the ICO.

Today, the ICO, as well as the cryptocurrency market, is experiencing a difficult time. Everything is very unstable. No confidence in the future. This affects the current state of affairs. As soon as the situation becomes stable, the ICO will immediately pick up the course.

You have the right thoughts about the situation with ICO. I will only add a little to your words. Together with a bad market situation, the credibility of ICO is undermining a large number of fraudulent projects.
It is because of these two factors that the number of investors is getting smaller.

"September has seen the least amount of funds raised by #ICOs in more than a year. Are ICOs dying off?"

Chart here: https://twitter.com/Bancor/status/1049690978213404673

it had to happen one day, we can not deny the fact that the majority of ico failed to reach their final goal and were not up to what the investors expected from them, without mentioning the large number of ICO SCAM that is causing people's mistrust, but I don't think it's completely dead, there will be always good project in the future and that's what people wait to invest.

this is the average because of the ICO scam that does not have a clear purpose and essentially just wants to rob investors of money. even though it has reached the softcap, investor funds that have been collected are not refunded and disappear. if later there is a new system for ICO procurement, it is better to reduce the ICO project which has high scam potential

Yes even if they have a working product but the market is getting smarter and being really cautious about the pump and dump and manipulations as well as the saturation of some ideas, this is a no surprise for the community.

ICOs are alive, but projects are making a lot more of preparatory work if compared with ICOs held in the first half of this year.
One of the indicators is that bounties are being extended for several more weeks - it means that projects make a more thorough advertising campaign.

I believe that ICO will continue to exist and in the future we will see many new projects. now the decrease in the number of ICO I believe is due to the unfavorable situation in the market.

They are not dying only they are hibernating :=). They will come back in next bull season but in bear they need to wait and they need to develop their projects. Now people already rekted . So we dont have any money for investing icos and because of they they can not collect enough money surely.

Since i have been watching the ico market, i have noticed that there are fewer and fewer new ico. For me it really looks like ico are slowly but surely dying. I believe through all the fraud ico the market was destroyed.

I think this is a good thing. Now that people are more skeptical about parting with their money and they are starting to demand more from ICOs than just a great whitepaper and a prototype that has no real application.
Now projects will work harder on their products before they start an ico and always put the community first.

it will not die. ICO has just appeared in recent years and it has helped many startups achieve the dream of becoming a business owner. This is a great callback tool based on a great market. ICO will survive and grow to meet people's needs for startups.

The situation with ICOs is really dramatic. The ICO investments fall down really hard and it is not only the fault of the market, but our as well. Some of the investors are supporting scam projects and other people cannot understand in what ICO to invest and how to get profit, without being scammed.

I believe that a normal situation is happening now. Many ICOs are paused. This is about how, during the crisis, many enterprises are suspended. As soon as the situation improves, ICO will continue to work.

Yes, only already so many projects that raised a lot of money, but that didn’t help them when the market began to fall. I think that in the future, ico will not attract so much money, since investors are already concerned about them. Fabulous collection amounts are possible only with the arrival of money in this market

I think the ICOs is the most affected on the market now, but with the change in the trend in the market, investor participation in the ICO will return to popularity.

Essential is the change of ICO. There are too many ICOs scam and we need to take a measure to limit it. If this problem is resolved then surely the ICO in the future will attract a lot of investors back
