The node ist not a GUI wallet, and the deb packackes needs root access for installation.

For security reasons I have running all my wallets in separate accounts, and installed without root access (tar or zip packages).

At this time I have run the deb package in a dedicated VM, but the resource consumption is a little bit high this way.

You are welcome.

 Huh

Btw if you think installing a package dedicated for an operating system is classed as "high resource consumption" then you should definitely educate yourself in this area.

So, you have no doubt to recommend every wallet user, who has trust into a coin, to install the wallet with root permission?

Interesting read. Ok, I hope it wasn't me that caused this, but I did bring up a backup of version of my wallet today. Here's what happened. After upgrading my wallet to version 1.1.4201, something went horribly wrong. When the wallet came up, the balance was listed as 0, and all previous transactions show up as 'failed'. So, I went through the wallet restore process....which worked. However, receiving addresses aren't restored through this process. Looking through the BEAM documentation, I couldn't find any method to dump a private key address from a wallet file. I needed to receive my last payout from leafpool.com on my old address. So, I  brought up a backed up version of the wallet (pre-upgrade) online. And it worked. It was a bit strange that the new wallet also received the funds as well (which I discovered later on)  so I didn't need to transfer the funds from the old wallet to the new wallet. I have no idea how that's even possible. In any case I deleted the old wallet file afterwards.
**I just want to point out both wallets were never online at the same time.
It would be nice if the devs could create a function to dump + import addresses between wallet files.

I'd advise you contact hotbit. I did a successful trade on chainrift this morning and the transaction and tx went through flawlessly, in minutes.

It looks to me like some 90%+ of the BEAM "trade" at Hotbit is fake. What do you guys think.

Beam : Price forecast extrapolation according to the treasury supply for the 3 first years and the expectation of the VC investors

Treasury  after 3 years: (1*20Beam + 2*10Beam) * 1440Block * 365days = 21’024’000 Beam

Treasury allocated to the private investors: 21’024’000 Beam * 35% = 7’358'400 Beam

ROI expected from the VC after 3 years: x35 (between 20x & 50x according to the risk)
Coin Value after 3 years: $invested x35 / 7’358'400 Beam

Assumption 1: $invested = 3’000’000$  --> Beam Value: 14$
Assumption 2, $invested = 6’000’000$  --> Beam Value: 28$
Assumption 3, $invested = 12’000’000$  --> Beam Value: 46$

Other approach:
Circulation supply after 3 year: 21’024’000 Beam
Market cap in 3 years: 800’000’000$, like Monero today
Beam Value: 38$

Nice figures... Wink and invoative Coin...
But, prior of that BEAM has to fix the network issues. The biggest exchange for BEAM (Hotbit) suspend deposit/withdrawal, the biggest pool (sparkpool) did not made a payments...
Waiting for quick fix...

Sounds good, but is more a calculation for the "to the moon" fans.

The calculation lacks 2 main factors: (Daily Issuance) inflation and Max. Supply....

Is there a specific procedure for transferring mined coins from Sparkpool to my wallet other than this- Open wallet, make sure it's on line, head over to Sparkpool and click the payout button and wait?

My first withdraw was faultless, I tried earlier to withdraw and nothing happened for ages, then it showed up in the wallet as a pending transaction but then it showed failed, it has tried twice and failed both. The Sparkpool page still shows the amount as 'matured' and 'applied' where the withdraw button should be but nothing is now happening.

Can you only withdraw at certain times of day or something? I must say it's about as clear as fucking mud, when do we get proper pools?
