They are holders whether they hold for specific months or years. No specific range on what a holder should hold his bitcoin and it depends on what he can see with his portfolio. That is his/her money and he has the control for it.
I feel the emotion when you said about those negative news comes, well that's normal. We don't have the same attitude if its about the market, some holders are changing quickly into calm mind to panic seller and that's how their trade goes.

well, they hold bitcoin is forced, not an option to have bitcoin as a whole. just to avoid big losses. so it holds in the hope that prices will rise again. the true holder is the one who holds without thinking the value of today or the next few weeks. but to make a profit in the next few years. and currently some holders are those who are stuck at high prices.

I think, it's not easy to be a holder, especially, hold bitcoin in a very long time, and that is hard to predict.
even panicked holders are part of the factors that make bitcoin fall drastically, from $ 20K to $ 6K today.
but, I agree with you, that the holder must be calm in facing every FUD.

Calmness is the only way to control your emotions and trade or invest in bitcoins without much fears when everyone is spreading FUD or the market is bearish. Bitcoiin holders need to look back at where the coins started from and how far it has reach now.

That is indeed true. Whenever the prices go down, the people in this forum are also reacting to it in a negative way. The people must focus on looking for coins that are worth investing in that period of time and should avoid panicking. And some of the people are actually looking forward to dump their coins if the decrease continues.

if you feel that there is no gain in holding it still calm. take advantage of the opportunity to trade in the short term, you know prices go down immediately buy and if you know the price goes up immediately sell so you still get a profit. |

There are people who invested more than they should, and get nervous at the volatility.
I think there are plenty of people who invested what they could lose but it ballooned up into a large amount that they have held on to and get nervous about. No one wants to lose money regardless. Majority of investors and Holders of bitcoin only wants to earned or profit. So when BTC crashes they don't know what to do and panic selling there BTC fo cashout to fiat. But their still some ways like buying new potential altcoins that have a low price for now and HODL when your new coins, tokens pump sell it to BTC! |

Yes I agree we need to stay calm and have a trust to bitcoin even now that it's value is already fall. Remember that bitcoin is business or investment that full of risk. unless you are a scalper, daytrader, shorter, these people dont hold they trade all day to make profits, that how it is, but for unvesters they hold bitcoin for 6 months to a year or 2. it really depends on the persons preference.

I agree. True bitcoin holders keep calm and being positive even the price falls. Those who contribute in more fall are not really a holder but a trader that cut their lose. Of course bitcoin holders must remain calm because as nowadays market drop down bitcoin prices are down thats why people have bitcoins be panic and pressurised for what to do now they must be calm and don't be panic.

I have seen so many people claiming to be HOLDERS, just because they hold their bitcoins as long as the market falls like a few months, they call it that even though their true nature still feels uneasy when negative news arrives and the market does not show positive movement according to what they expected and led to panic. I think true HOLDERS are those who really hold their Bitcoin up to the time limit they specify or how much the coin they hold will grow regardless of outside influences.
I think the bitcoin developers and holders are actually people who are patient waiting for bitcoin prices to rise and always see the movement of bitcoin and not giving up this incident like bitcoin is being very heavy and falling off. but we as wise men and this win Bitcoin must wait for prices to improve again. |
