This is the same as the havy-cpu.zip file that was announced in this thread earlier, right?

It seems like..... yes..... GPU  Undecided :

just showing where we are with Heavycoin at the moment... 2400 kHash/s per GTX 780 Ti

NOTE: this isn't cudaminer. It's a separate project, so don't expect to find this in the cudaminer trunk.
It might be merged in later on, but there are several proprietary stratum extensions made by the
1gh pool that are a bit messy to merge.  This is the main reason we started with a fresh fork.

Very nice numbers, I guess I share mine as well now, they are for 4 x R9 290:

Code:

I think it still has some bugs, the pool rejects my shares when diff is low, but after target switches to lower value everything works fine. Also not sure if these numbers are correct, the pool shows 13-14 MH/s.

I'm going to open source this miner when your is out, good luck with more optimizations. Power usage on R9 290 when mining this is about 100W/card.

Really? Are you running on 64 bit?
I have 32 bit Windows and the new miner made it like 10% slower.

Anyone using the new 64-Bit miner for Sandy Bridge CPU's? It crashes upon startup for me, generic miner works fine.

The pics of the GPU miner being posted here are insane! From a technical standpoint its very impressive, however, from a market standpoint it would severely hurt the market, by flooding it with too many new coins too quick. I imagine the GPU miner will stay in the hands of a select few for the time being to maximize personal profit, after that is anyone's guess.

Maybe the opposite would happen.

More hashpower didn't mean that more coins are generated, just the distribution changes.

Now, only people with much cores (bastard admins?) and botnets get the big piece of the cake, with a gpu-miner, a smaller miner with his rig can get more coins.

EDIT: of course, the gpu-miner should be available for all Wink

No.  Even if GPU miners were introduced, Heavycoin's retargeting algorithm would increase the difficulty so that only 1 block is solved every 2 minutes on average.  Thus, the mint rate of new Heavycoin would not increase and the market would not be flooded with increased supply.
