Missed some posts... Can someone please explain me why miners are hopping like stupid from one pool to another? Heavycoinpool.com was mining smoothly last two days with over 2000Mh/s and found 41 blocks in last 24 hours, they even donated miners with an extra bounty 175 HVC per block. When I calculated I got even better paid then on 1Gh. Well, it's not so easy to compare just by taking calculator, but roughly I can say I haven't earned less then on 1Gh in average. Now when the bounty is over, everybody switching somewhere else. I don't really get it, what's the problem with you guys! Is it just greed and attempt to maybe earn more on other pool? In short? Yes. Mind you, I got more on heavycoinpool than I did on the others. However, given the low rate of finding blocks during my tests, I was almost starting to wonder if something was misconfigured either on my end or at hvcpool's end. They started catching up later, but I can well imagine some miners having thought ".. I *was* getting HVC at the other pool, and here I get nothing, I'm switching back" after just a few hours. Such is the bane of low pool hash rates with high difficulty, I guess Got two positive delta with big number from TheRealSteve's chart, http://heavycoin.zhpool.com is surely in a good shape. the best server really counts. For anybody wanting to check out the pools, I'd say at least look at the graphs rather than the tables. The tables are just 12-/24-hour spot checks.. which is fine if people stick around 'their' pool, but with people hopping pools (as per the above), pools' (estimated) hash rates can vary a bit even when using the 1-hour averaged out values As an aside, I'm still getting errors from the website quite often - I know it doesn't affect the mining pool, but it can be off-putting I'm making a heavycoin MPOS pool.
I don't think you've actually set it up fully yet, but for when you do.. already tracking it.

I think the block reward is still to high for the coin.. Vote LOW!
To make this coin viable & increase the liquidity there must be enough coins in circulation first & to make this, early vote should be on middle side (not too high in order to prevent dumping) & not so low (in order to prevent less circulation) so around 500-700 coins per block is fair enough at this moment while we are still in early days of the coin. Once we have enough coins in circulation then only HVC can hit major exchanges like Cryptsy & if after that block reward decreases, it will ultimately give big profit to early birds who started mining during early days & of course holding like a boss.

I cannot get both of my 4 x 280x rigs to hash faster than 8MH/s per card. (Tried both v4 and 1GH miner) But I have a single 280x in another PC and with identical settings, I can get it hashing at 9MH/s. Same 13.1 driver. 1200MHz. 1.2v. I tried lower clock/mem speed but it just lowers the hash rate. I get no HW errors. So I'm not sure why I'm hashing over 10% less with both of my 4 card rigs. Any ideas? UPDATE: I removed GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS (from bat and registry) and changed the worksize to 64 and now I'm hashing away at 9.3MH/s each. setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

If anyone fancies (MacOS only ): diff is grabbed from block explorer, last price from mintpal, current block reward from block explorer's last block details, btc from bitstamp, eur/usd from bitstamp and daily powercosts are calculated from a (currently) hard coded 640W (for the 52MH/s and 0.249€/kWh). I can change it up a bit for you that you can enter power draw and power price if you guys want. calculation is based on a simple hashrate-difficulty formula which works quite well to be honest.

I really agree that we need to be on more echanges, however I would say in order to get to the middle ground of 500-700 coins per block it is necessary to vote very low, i.e 1, in order to cancel out people voting in the higher extreme of 1028.

Block reward dropped about 20% to 577 for next 5.7 days. It might drop even lower after that. It's now pretty expensive to mine HVC at current price. Good time to buy it cheap I think.

+1 ...hope I'm not forced to sell due to a real-life situation before 0.0005 HVC/BTC... hope im not forced to sell before 0.09 HVC/BTC

Another great coin, Another wallpaper. Heavycoin now has it's own wall of text wallpaper.
I think that would look better if the text were justified and manually tweaked so that each line is a full line

IPOs bought in at roughly 0.000035 Currently it is lower than IPO. I see this as a good thing as it gives more people chance to buy in and distribute the coin more instead of a few IPOs hodling the most amount of coins. Price should rise above IPO pretty quickly though.
