GPU's = Higher Dif = Less individually per miner. Minting stays the same regardless of network hash. The mint just gets divided out to more nodes/miners/rigs.

Value of darkcoin went up quite a bit when the GPU miner came out. Maybe the same will happen here.

This coin is definitely going up at least 10x in value, its very undervalued ATM. GPU mining or not... I personally think GPU mining is fine, again takes power away from the botnets. Also, there is a lot of FUD being spread around in here by people who are looking to buy cheap before pumping. So don't miss out on this buying opp.

I agree. We're on a nice dip too from overnight. Just bought 2500. Price is swinging back.

The problem right now is that Heavycoin says "CPU-only forever" and advertises CPU-only all the way, but its unfortunately already not cpu-only. I am looking forward to keccak51 and nomisugi reaction.

I didnt expect this, i like the project from day one

which folder do I need to excetute?

[amd-barcelona]      [amd-bdver1]
[amd-bdver2]         [amd-btver2]         [generic]
[intel-core2]        [intel-haswell]      [intel-ivy-bridge]
[intel-nehalem]      [intel-sandy-bridge]

I guess "Intel core2"   or another one?

Thanks and sorry

Not mine, I'm not going to sell it and I'm not sharing it yet. Gotta pay myself for my hard work first. Smiley

there is no proof of a GPU miner ATM. But I do agree nobody should ever advertise a CPU only coin.. there really is no such thing. You can use hashing schemes that make it much more difficult (like they have done here) but to say CPU only "forever" can just not be guaranteed.

However... I will say again. The major innovation in this coin is in the decentralized voting!! Also, this hashing scheme is still much more "secure" and ASIC resistant than bitcoin or any other stand alone SHA-256/Scrypt/Keccak ect coin. How many coins come out that have ZERO innovation and still go way up in value...

If everyone stopped selling their coins for bottom prices, the market would move up and interest would return with the gains, thus bringing more interest/gains. Either way its going to happen regardless, so just keep acquiring and hold, you will be happy you did.

If everyone would just vote 1 for the block the price would go up a lot, More Coins doesnt translate to more profits.

They'll figure it out soon...

In the mean time, the market manipulators are buying back at these prices and increasing their holdings... so prepare for another "pump" sometime soon (once they are finished buying). In the short term, this extraction of money from the market is hurting us, but in the long run, this coin is still going to do very well and get a lot more attention.

Depends on your actual processor numbers. If it starts with "2" then pick Sandy Bridge. If it starts with "3" then Ivy, "4" is Haswell. If it's none of those, then it's probably "nehalem". And if THAT doesn't work go generic.

Maybe HeavyCoin should implement that stupid MultiPool feature that BlackCoin did

They should all work, Just small optimizations for each CPU type, but sandy-bridge should be fastest... You should just be able to run them and compare hash-rates.

Try to identify it there, it is easy enough. For i5 I would say Ivy Bridge, but please check
