HitBtc no more working since xx days...

 

it seems Hitbtc change his api system with a new one, no more compatible with CAT.

In that case i will remove Hitbtc from Supported Exchange and i will offer a new FREE api key for another exchange.

I've checked what is required to upgrade V1 to V3 and the new limit like

"The Bittrex API employs call limits on all endpoints to ensure the efficiency and availability of the platform for all customers. In general, API users are permitted to make a maximum of 60 API calls per minute. Calls after the limit will fail, with the limit resetting at the start of the next minute."

It's not acceptable for an intensive-api call software like CAT. CAT won't work with these limits.

Even without this limit, the total time needed for a complete refactor (read guide, write new code, test new single api, system test) it's not affordable for me at the moment.


To create less disappointment i will replace the Bittrex Api with a new Free One.
That offer is valid for CAT User who have a valid Bittrex Api and from the day Bittrex Api will stop works.

Honestly i don't know.
It doesn't seems a message related to Api System (probably something like "Api System Not Enabled" would have been better).

Are you able to log on Bittrex and check your api keys?

I've posted this information to Bittrex Slack chat so they're aware that they are killing a tried and true trading bot for their exchange. Any information yet about an exchange that will be added in place of Bittrex?

Sampey, I've spoken with Richie at Bittrex (one of the founders) on their Slack chat server and he'd love for you to join so they can help discuss whatever it is that is causing the change from V1 to V3 to break CAT. They said there are no changes to API call limitations. Please send me your email in PM and I will get you invited to their chat.

It's not a simple address change, i need to rewrite the way CAT perform any API call.

It's not a single api broken (sometimes it happens, latest was Binance and i fixed it), it's a full system to rewrite.

cat works fine on unnamed.exchange,
if you doesnt have to do the code work,, maybe the integration could get published official ?  for everyone to use. or as optional interface

edit:
if i remind correct, then is there some hardcoded delay for 6 seconds somewhere between the order -re creation during an lookup and the next task.
that is next to latency the biggest bottleneck.

nahhhhh,   cat was the reason why i launched unnamed. ^^

but "hack" is such an harsh word.... the check and authentication via api key  isnt cracked/undermined
and it still needs an official cat version with poloniex interface.

so,,,  its a bit more needed then just the doublick on cat.jar
but i had just the idea
me isnt smart enough to get that things at the end running.

beyond that point. there are just small differences.

Problem is that i don't plan to add any new exchange to CAT, as i already told you by PM.
so there should be a very good reason to add a new exchange to CAT Interface (and there's work to do, it's never a free time work, i need to follow an interface/test plan).

About your licenses : CAT doesn't support Yobit more.
Your CAT copy can continue works with Yobit, but actually Yobit interface is removed from CAT source code.
In current CAT license system, you don't have any valid API

- Technical problems in code interface + a lot of scam accusation + few CAT users still using it.
- I don't plan to add any new Exchange.
- The day Bittrex will remove API V2, then CAT won't works more.
