Quitting trading is not an option for now. I believe that this year will be better than last year. Last will was not the year for traders, it was difficult for every trade. You need to develop strategies on how you trade. Go back and learn the base again. For 2 years you supposed to have grounded if actually, you were doing regular trading.

I'm really stuck in your situation. All the capital I have has been poured into the cryptocurrency market, ICO projects. Some altcoins are broken down, 1 coin has no volume traded on the exchanges. Your English is poor then me. Whatever I understand that you want give up crypto trading. I am not sure what you meant exactly about day trading. But I want to clear about it. Day trading doesn't mean that it will give you profit every day. Just today you bought and you are expecting profit today then you are on wrong track. I think you can't use margin how much percent you want to earn or maybe you are expecting highest profits for your day to day trade and you can got with nothing.
I think in two years experience is over time you had to learn and analyst your mistakes as trader how to get earnings as day traders, i suggest do not quit just learn well and analysis your mistakes.

In 2 years span of time on being a trader it seems very impossible for you not to learn atleast while you are doing trading.Imagine 2 years its already a long time for you to realize on what are your
mistakes as a trader.Im not saying its easy to learn up but i would say most people or traders do already able to learn.It might not be profitable but atleast you do have the experience

That's indeed a common rookie mistake. The easiest way to get around this is to do the opposite of what you think is the right move. If you think it's the right time to sell, buy. If you think it's the right time to buy, sell.

I have done the exact same thing when I realized that everything I thought was right turned out to be wrong. Obviously, it goes against people's nature to do what they think is wrong, but in this case it helps tremendously.

So if you don't have patience then it will be better to give up.

Yes, people usually wait too long before giving up due to a tiny sparkle of hope that's left in them. If you are almost sure that you will end up selling in panic, you are way better off to sell right away.

Have your skill and ability improved within that period? Financial profits is not the only reward from trading. Growing your skill is a great possitive to take away as a trader. If a strategy is not working out, go back to the drawing board. And keep practicing till you find a winning formula.

There are times that I wouldn't want to trade period. But it doesn't mean that I'm quitting, I just take some time to reset. Maybe that's what you need, take a week off and see if you can go back with enthusiasm and probably might learn a few tricks in the forum in that week. Personally though, I have a offline business so I'm not a full trader and just trade whatever I want.

Well, I think you should ask yourself first did I actually learned anything during the past 2 years!? What is the reason I didn't make a profit? You can start by answering these questions and then you will find it more clear on what you should do next. If the reason for not making a profit is because you are just not good and didn't manage to learn day trading in a span of 2 years then you should just quit trading and move on something you can learn. Those days were bearish, but now, Bakkt and ETFs are on the table and we're experiencing the heat already as most coins have started moving towards the positive direction (many good projects were missing those green dildos just due to the markets being a bad baby all the time). I think it's good time to get back trading and start making some extra bucks once again (at least till the hype is being "overhyped" like wildfire).

Daytrading might just not be for you as well, and in that case you can try holding coins as a longer-term investment. Another suggestion I have is to read up on strategies other successful traders use, note how they trade, and incorporate some aspects of their trading style into your own trading. I find altcoins going back up to be more of a stimulating factor than Bakkt or an ETF that we won't be getting any time soon. The more people focus on these institutions, the more disappointment they will end up going through.

People's expectations of Bakkt are so high that I don't see how it will ever be able to satisfy them in the first few months. Bakkt delivers its Bitcoins out of its reserve that has been obtained by buying coins through the OTC market.

Unless the OTC market dries up, which is something I don't see happen, there isn't much that we can expect other than Bakkt providing some much needed legitimacy to the space.

Quit is not the answer but find the mistakes and never do that again is the right option you have. In this situation and many cases many people like you fails but only few of them keep stay and become great trader. All option/ decisions have risk and if you can't handle it I think quit is better. Just find the mistakes and you'll learn something that might be change your life.

maybe you need to evaluate your self.there is big mistake from your self , is it about skill in analisys or other mistakes.if we invest in bitcoin since two years that should in end of 2017 we got huge profits.

What to do now? Asked yourself if you still want to pursue your trading career or just quit on it. You can find and search for other jobs while still doing trading in the first place so I don't see why you will just quit.

Probably he wants to cover all his losses only from trading. I can understand his frustration but right now he should not continue his trading with current state of skill levels. He must need to improve himself so that you will find the differences. Taking a long break for the purpose of learning and practicing is highly suggested. I'm not sure it will be possible because he must need some income stream for leading a life like he mentioned. Moreover anyone cannot earn a living from trading at first place as results from trading is not consistent all the times. i didn't have much funds for investment so i was doing day trading only , i did invest little in 2-3 coins which also went in loss

i do have improved in trading many of traders who i chat with say that i have good knowledge of technical analysis , but my psychology is very bad and i dont know how to improve that even after reading books and watching some video and practicing it i could not control my emotions , if someone trade based on my analysis e will profitable but if i trade the same i lose

Day trading is not easy, there are many obstacles that must be faced and in my opinion a falling market or bear market is a big problem, maybe a factor in the market conditions that make you lose, so try to learn more things and try to share opinions with fellow day traders. You dont seems to understand that the time a crypto trader or investor enter/exit  the market is very vital and it what determine the profitability of a crypto trader or investor. In addition, I believed this is the major problem which leads to Coolman losses and I think he need to work on what I said and the coins to invest in.

Maybe he need to spend more time to learn about trading because it's hard to believe that we cannot get any profit since 2 years especially we know bitcoin price and altcoin price increased higher in 2017. Not everyone can really understand how trading works, for example I have once found a chart and a system (indicators) that basically worked for everyone at the time (the 20 thousand times) and I tried it myself and failed, not because chart wasn't working, people were still making profit with it, I just failed it using it properly.

Basically all I am saying is trading is not for everyone and I am one of them, I try to "invest" instead of trade and I try to put my money into something I really trust and keep it there until I am happy with the profits. Of course 2018 looks like it wasn't the year to do that but thanks to reinvesting every week when I get money I have managed to drop the averages a lot and now I am not too far away from profiting. Be careful if you don't have any plan in trading because you cannot make any profit at all and even you can get losing much money. People don’t realize that trading is not the only way you can make money from cryptocurrency. Pro traders claim rules for increasing trading skills and these rules have deep connection with screen time. 10000 hours of screen time is required for reading pure charts without help of any technical indicators. In trading, there's no such thing you earn everyday like yesterday. Market trend is always different. I also thought of quitting my job when I make a lot of money in trading but I realized its a wrong move when there we're 3 days straight I am losing money because of market trends and wrong decisions. If the OP was just stagnant and unable to get profits but did not got losses during those 2 years then I will say that he is close to have a winning system since he will just need to improve his winning ratio or the profits he gets in each trade, but it is likely that what he meant by not getting profits was that he has been getting losses for two years in which case it seems the best thing to do for him is to stop completely and to not trade again until he fixes whatever is wrong with his strategy.

Well, two years may be a short time, but it can also be a long one, especially if you have experienced losses after losses. I think, I would tell you to keep at it, but try to also venture in different facets and department of the market. The cryptocurrency market has a lot of other ventures to offer that can be equally or even more profitable that trading. At least, if you would do that, it would give you some sense of new knowledge on how to create returns through other means in this market rather than focusing on one.

To tell you frankly, trading will make you two things. A loser or a successful one. In my case, I am trading for almost q yest now but it is not easy to make profits. I decided not to trade for a couple of months, but I am not giving up. I am gaining some knowledge that are useful when I am decided to get back in trading.

Would rather agree on this since in tradings if we have small pocket on it we will have small chances to earn since we are like guessing for the perfect time and perfect coin or token to buy with. I have job before started trading and until now I am still keeping my job because I do reduce my risk.  I will say getting a job as a trader is good as this will help reducing your  fear of losing as loses is part of trading and whenever you are incuring loses you can focus on your job.  Also two birds are better than one!  You should not depend on one side of income but multiples streams of income will help.  Trading is good and you need time and intelligent to make money from the market that is full of expert and skills.

Just a simple advise, if you do find yourself not profitable then theres something wrong with you and into your tradings.

I am trading forex for last 8 years still I am struggling to get desired profit. After 8 years of experience in forex trading I am able to make profit and protect my account but still I need to be more confident inorder to make it my full time profession. I believe traders should not stop learning even if they are already trading. It take years before you become a skilled trader but this should be also coupled with continuous learning because it is one of the most essential traits of a trader, proper knowledge. Trade is a source of income for professional crypto players because this is a profession, so the longer they understand the crypto coin character, the more they are expert in predicting the direction of price movements.

Believe me or not i also start trade 2 years ago and i also see many loss trade. But i am not a day trader or active trader like you. I think day trade is too much risky than others. why don't you try other way to trade. Look around the news and analysis the coin/token which you want to trade. Don't think too much if you think it's the perfect time to sell then sell if you think it's the perfect time to buy then buy. Use your experience and after all this you think about quit. Some of the traders here are making a mistakes for quitting their job just for the sake of doing a full time trading in crypto.
Now in your case, if there is an opportunity to for you to have a job, you must grab the chance and do trade as your part time

Yes you should! Trading is a difficult way to earn money. Besides, you cannot earn always here. Instead you may lose your capital specially if you don't know the environment of cryptocurrency. The decision is really depends on you buddy, i believe that each in everyone is destined into something ,if you think you dont have what it takes to be a trader then search for a new path which you think you will be capable of having success.

I don't think trading is about scams that stop them from trading, the problem is about experience. If they are trading only to make money quickly and easily in other words just following without having the experience that is owned, then it will only be a panic that occurs. I can understand your problem.
But to be honest trading requires some experience and a lots of luck.
90% of the traders face losses,  if you see frankly.
The best thing you can do is that make trading part time and do search for a job.

For me, you can say what the answer is because of two years in trading but not profitable at all? You should know what happens. Yes, you learn many things in trading but need to know what should you do if you earn even a small amount of money. I'm sure that you gain $100 and above, but what do you do in your profits? If you take it all and, it's definitely wrong.  Gain a little amount of money and take the 50% and save it, use the other 30% to investment and do it again,  the other 20% is your backup investment that if your 30% lose you still have a 20% to trade. I'm sure that even its a little amount of money you can earn. But the answer to your question depends on the desire you want, or you can find a job to have sustainable source of income.

I depends on the reasons you failed. Looks like you need to analyse more your pervious experience and detect the problem. Lack of tech analysis knowledge or risk and money management.. probably even psychology

I don't think that there is any functional difference.
Personally, I prefer working on my desktop because I have a larger screen than my smartphone. This makes me have more information in one screen and I don't lose any detail

Currently am trading on good and notable platform and have a course to strengthen my knowledge about the word trading,  day trading was my favorite but was not doing well with the techniques I used.
