Lack of leadership does not appear to be the cause of Bangladesh's deterioration in performance. Their main problem is that the players are not able to perform regularly. The performance of their top order especially the two openers is very weak. I don't remember the last time we saw a good performance from two Bangladeshi openers. If the openers do not start well, it is difficult to perform well in the match.
Secondly, the board of the Bangladesh team is completely corrupt. The political influence within the board is well understood. Bangladesh cricket will not improve if the corrupt board officials are not sacked.
