Nepal surely played a great game. They are a rising team and would be center of interest in the future of cricket. They deserve to hold those records but still the thing about this particular game is ICC should not having given these particular matches the status of T20I. Imagine what could have happened if Mongolia played a A level team like Pakistan and India on the qualifiers. Mongolia is a new team and doesn't hold a T20I status. They should have waited till quarter finals to give the T20I status as a number of novice teams would have been eliminated out till that.
Anyway, it was a good exposure to Nepal and hope they keep on doing the amazing performance in Quarterfinals.

It must be admitted that Nepal played very well in today's match. Mongolia is a new team in cricket. And as a new team, it is natural that Mongolia team is weaker than Nepal. I am not at all surprised by Nepal team's good performance against new inexperienced team Mongolia. Because Nepal team players have good experience in almost all aspects. I hope, Mongolia team can gain some good experience from these matches. And slowly Mongolia can build themselves as the perfect team. In the other match at Asian games cricket competition, Japan defeated Cambodia. Both the teams were fielding squads mostly comprised of immigrants. There were only two locals in the Cambodia squad (Te Senglong and Phon Bunthean), while the Japan team only had 4 locals (Wataru Miyauchi, Tsuyoshi Takada, Makoto Taniyama and Kohei Kubota). Batting first, Cambodia made 125/7 in 20 overs, with Japanese bowler Ryan Drake taking 3 wickets. Japan chased down the target with 3 wickets and 1.5 overs to spare, with Kendel Fleming top-scoring for them with 35.   

Really good performance from the Japanese top order batsmen. They did very well to make sure that they did the bulk of the scoring and the players that came after them had an easier job. It did get a little interesting towards the end.  especially when Japan started losing a lot of wickets very quickly. But in the end they were able to reach the target with a lot of balls left in hand.

To be honest, the target from Cambodia was not good enough.  Even after Japan, conceded 16 extra runs they were able to score, only 125. It was just a matter of patience for Japan in the end.

I think we will be doing an injustice towards Mongolia if we expect them to win this match. After all Nepal is a very good and improved team compared to Mongolia. It is true that we never expected this kind of performance from Nepal.  We thought they would perform well. Maybe even get closer to the 200mark score. But I dont think anyone actually predicted that they are going to score more than 300 in a T-20 match.

To be very honest, I think Mongolia was really under pressure to see this score. They were even unable to make a good game plan going into the second inning. And let's be honest, no one actually expected them to reach the target successfully.  This was a very entertaining first inning from Nepal. Very dominant performance overall from them as well.

I think scoring 314 in 20 overs is a very difficult task.Whether a team is batting first or the target is set for the team batting later.Looking at this match, it seems that either Nepal's team is a very strong team or Mongolia team is a very weak team compared to Nepal.One team manages to score 314 runs in 20 overs while on the other hand the opposing team gets out by scoring only 41 runs,Which includes 23 extras runs.If the extras runs are deducted from the total score, the entire team is out by 18 runs.From here, the performance of the entire Mongolia team can be clearly seen.Of course, big scores will continue to be made against such a weak team.
