DC have a terrible IPL last year as they finished 9th on points table and this year they started there campaign with a loss. RCB have won there opening game against LSG and must be in high spirits to win today's game also. So far DC bowlers have done a good job after initial 8 overs as RCB have lost 3 wickets and score is 38 only. With this pace RCB wont be able to make 150 and if DC can restrict RCB to less total then they have a chance to win the game quite easily.

He also had a good domestic run, so it's a good sign. He's just 22 yo (not your average "hide the age type") so RR did well by backing him. Now he has to show consistency with some impactful knocks, even on losing cause as it doesn't matter in the long run. 

Not just Buttler but Jaiswal is also looking quiet with the bat. Anyway, it's a long tournament so I'm sure they will come around.

Yeh it's true I am really impressed from few indian young talented guys which we will have seen soon in indian squad for upcoming competition just like Jaiswal , parag, N.rana etc it's true that we should not judge any player from single day performance but his entire technique and way of play. Anyway tomorrow we have a strong contender match between RCB and KkR which will be I think in favour of RCB but anything can happened. If we look at current points table where CSK were dominating with consecutive two wins and with a highest net run rate and it's look like if they continue thier run definitely they can be another season champion, but compared to them DC were again continuing his previous season performance while Mumbai were also looking in trouble after handovering captaincy to Hardik. Although the challenge of selecting players is considered a sweeter challenge due to the surplus of players but when there are enough players at hand it is definitely difficult to decide which players will be included in the team and which players will be left out.

Means he made 8 boundaries means he made 38 runs on 8 balls and made 11 runs on 26 balls. That's not fair. Rest of the team also just like him. So can't point out only two players and should not blame them.

Every IPL season has emerging players and this season it seems like Riyan Parag makes to the list.

DC is still overall poor team, just like previous seasons, it seems like their owners don't know how to pick good players, though there are few quality players sitting on bench, one of them being Jake Fraser-Mcgurk, Rishabh should give him a chance, he was good in BBL, can destroy opponents on a good day.

Ricky Bhui should be replaced, pretty bad way to way get out from a batter IMO.

Hardik is a victim of Main Character Syndrome. It's a problem for both Pandya brothers, which sometimes makes them very insecure and it reflects on the field. They promote themselves in the batting order and pick a new ball responsibility out of nowhere. Hardik does it regularly and his brother is not far behind as well.

Insecure is right word than egotistic, the word which I usually use. The background Pandya brothers come from, insecurity is kinda expected tbh, childhood conditioning dies hard.

There is ample reason to blame Rishab Pant. Because Pant is the captain of the Delhi team and one of the most experienced players in the team. We certainly don't expect batting like a fool from such experienced players. I will not blame Abhishek Porel, he is still young and inexperienced. But Rishab Pant has been playing in IPL for a long time. It is natural that we would expect better batting from him.
