It is obviously the end of the competition for Ajax. They have done a great job by kicking Juve out but I do not think they can manage Tottenham this time.

I think the same but was just reading the newspaper while drinking my morning coffee and it says that Kane and Heo Son Ming will not play tonight.That is not good for Tottenham because they lose a lot from their attacking side and I don't know who will play in their places tonight.

Your thought or mine actually don't count here for if Tottenham can not hold down Ajax for the whole match while they try their in scoring a goal tonight, Ajax will definitely beat them in the second leg and the absent of the two players shouldn't affect Tottenham performance tonight if they really prepare for the Ajax game.

Tonight will be tough and despite the Tottenham manager statement of not been sure if they will proceed to the next stage I believe Tottenham will win today's game with 2 goals to Nil.
Mind you, this is football just because Ajax performance was outstanding in their previous game doesn't mean it will be throughout the whole tournament.

I think it will be a tight match, Totenham as the home team will have more advantages than Ajax but on the same time Ajax has proven that they are Giant killer after they beat Real Madrid and Juventus. Totenham is going to have their 2nd Semi-Final match in the history (the first one was in 1961/62 season), too bad some players are missing such as Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min.
In case of betting, I think it will be better to bet on over/under goals instead of who will win the match.

If you want to bet, of course it's very difficult to predict who the winner is. If it must be, certainly better with the current situation is holding ajax. Because if Harry kane and Son can't compete, of course ajax is highly favored here. On the other hand, Tottenham is not a club that can be underestimated.

I usually opt for English teams to win when playing against such opponents but I think spurs has too much on their plate.....1st they have to fight to keep themselves in the EPL top four, then their is the champions league which is the real deal, but winning against an Ajax team that has so much to offer and impressed us when booting out Juventus....they could show the same spirit and win away from home.

Many people think that Ajax will have an easy qualification because they have eliminated stronger teams than Tottenham like Real Madrid and Juventus.That may be true to a certain degree but I think that Tottenham has better chances to qualify.They didn't care much in their last game at home and lost to West Ham.This makes me think that all their focus is in the Champions League.

Yeah but you really have to look into how Ajax confidence is prolly off the charts right now.  That makes teams perform waaay above their level, especially in a tourney that brings a whole lot of prestige if they win it.

And how many players are injured at Tottenham?  It was a long list the last time I checked about a month ago...

I didn't see many players listed as missing in Livescore app and for Tottenham this will be like the final seeing it from the importance of the game.I know Ajax has played beautiful football this year but I think Tottenham are a very cynical team and will probably qualify, I am willing to place a bet on them to qualify as the odds is good.

There's Kane, Sissoko, Harry Winks and Lamela (and a few others).  The latter two not really starting at every match but looked decent when they did and it wouldn't hurt to have them around in such an important fixture.

Yes, semi-final match will indeed be difficult to predict. Tottenham have a home advantage that certainly won't be wasted. A slim score will probably be the end result of this match. 1-0 or 2-1.

Yes, they do have Son unavailable for the game too.

He had a yellow card in the group stages against both Inter and PSV, If only he had not gotten booked in that then both yellow cards in he had gotten previously would have been nullified just like every other players left in the competition.

Less than two hours to go for the Ajax vs Tottenham match. I just checked an online poll in ESPN website and to my surprise 61% are favoring Ajax to win this match. I checked some polls in Twitter as well and all of them are having Ajax on top. On the other hand, the match between Barca and Liverpool is predicted to be a nailbiter, with 51% favoring LFC and 49% favoring Barca.

According to the UEFA CL rules, a player will be suspended for one (1) game if he sees three yellow cards in three different matches prior to the semis. In the semi-finals, yellow cards are wiped out so that the player can't miss the final because of yellow card suspensions.

I'd even go with under 1.5 goals @3.25. I feel like both teams will feel the pressure of playing a CL semi final and they might want to play it safe, I doubt we'll see high scoring match.

Never mind, Son can rest, we will need him for our away games. I think we have a good chance to get another 1-0 here. As long as we do not give the away goal so early, we can make it.
