As always, more evidence of the weirdness...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/1lsq1m62a01tgiv/Procoin3.png <--- Even the wallet explains about "generated" coins, which it does not say for all my regular "Received with MajorMiners" transactions.

Ok, so.... I noticed with my latest "Mined" amount, it's part of some total 1000 coin payout to a bunch of different people (see block explorer page http://cryptexplorer.com/block/31afdea33178041493f24139f62a01259f55e37b7eb030ab7443b3204d03f23b).

What's more interesting is that it went to my "Biffy" address, which suggests someone sent it there, even though the wallet is showing it as some "mined" amount.  Is somebody making payments out to us?

I have no intention on going back through the explorer to double check other mysterious entries.

Biffy, block rewards are 1,000. You must be mining somewhere and are being sent transactions. Double check.

Thanks for the feedback, Lawrence.

The social accounts are being updated now. Please make sure to follow:

TeamProCoin Twitter: https://twitter.com/teamprocoin
TeamProCoin Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/teamprocoin

Not mining anywhere else for Procoin.  Accordingly, the wallet would show me an incoming for the appropriate labeled address.  Biffy is what it said when you made your donation to me when I first started.  But this... is different.  It's an amount not attached to a label, yet that's the address it's using.  It's very strange.

I stand by my statement... if this is not causing any problems now or down the line, the mysterious payments can keep coming.

Cool. Enjoy.  Grin

I am enjoying the Twitter. Keep up the good work! This week I think there will be some real action or at least I hope.

Thanks Lawrence! 48 followers after a few days, not too shabby. The social media strategy is going a bit beyond just Tweeting, though. Another team member and I are also contacting people on Facebook and Twitter and engaging with them - in order to create more awareness. It's not going to happen on its own. Building a new crypto up is a hustle business and I'm a hustler, baby Cheesy

I'm also starting to think that X11 may be the right move for ProCoin before the end of May. That algo has a lot of appeal to miners and is more energy efficient. I haven't spoken to The Dev about it, but it's worth considering.

Right now the main emphasis is:

1) Social media marketing and making connections with 'the right people.'
2) Increase miner activity. The Block Finder Bonus continues and we've paid out over 200K already. http://pcn.majorminers.com/
3) Contact people who can add PCN to existing services.
4) Enter into discussions about new applications for the currency.

All this is happening right now, as well as the development of "ProCoin 2.0" - which will improve core functionality.

I been looking into renting a rig. That could be something I like to. Seems easy enough.

You certainly could. It's a straightforward process. You pick the rig you want and then connect to a mining pool. Our pool has four global stratum locations so just pick the one that's closest to the rig. We're still giving away Block Finder Bonuses and will continue to do so. We're also going to give out a large reward for Block 30,000 so look out for that.

Right now TeamProCoin is not happy with the low hash and we know we have to work harder to get more.

I completed a re-brand to the new concept, including social media sites and the main website. I think the message we're trying to get across is clearer, but we still need to address the critical need for more hash power.

We'll continue to address that issue, but in the meantime renting a rig means you'll be able to easily mine under-priced, low difficulty PCN that will be worth a LOT MORE in coming months. If you have a small amount of patience, mine it and I guarantee you'll be rewarded.

I Think about...

To gain more Hash, the best way is to show some groundbreaking element of the macrouniverse altcoins and of course a long-term strategy to strengthen the development team in their efforts to ensure stability and continuity Procoin.

(Sorry, Google translation because I'm from Spain)

Good idea Finder Bonuses.  Wink

I have yet PCN 32,800 Bonuses

Very interested in version 2, X11 definitely would be a good option to consider!
Really looking forward to the details of version 2 Smiley

How is development going? Any ETA?

Is anyone else having a problem synchronizing the wallet? I've added all nodes and the correct ports from the first post into my CONF file. I'm receiving coins into the unconfirmed balance, but they never mature and my wallet says it's out of sync.

Edit- Solved the problem by deleting peers and debug, then restarting the wallet.

Thanks for your interest.  It's going to be a lot of work so don't have a firm ETA yet but the new functionality is significant.  Ideally looking for it to go live in 2 or 3 months.  Can't say much about the functionality until much nearer the time, although am looking to implement X11 plus a lot more, plus some features I don't believe any other coins have.

One concern of mine is the development is going to cost a lot.  I know people are wary of IPOs with good reason, but if I can find people who want to invest in version 2, their investments would go into escrow (so there's no risk to you), if we can agree on what they get in return.

Just a thought.  If this would interest anyone at all please let me know.  Thanks.

Glad things are running.  I started getting "Can't connect to database" messages even at the main page.  It was quite weird.  I'll reconnect to the pool.
