I tend to agree with this option albeit I think it may be a long period between the end of the 1st run and the guessing of the 2nd and 3rd place winner... What do you think of meeting half way - EOD 14 February - as the final date for guessing the last mined BTC block?

But it would shorten our remaining celebration time.  

And I need your Bitcoin address for sending your valuable BTC.  

Alternative solution for 2nd/3rd place: Combine the prizes and split evenly, so both get 0.375 mBTC.

It's a solution but it's also a solution where we would lose almost 4 weeks of additional celebration time!

Indeed you are right GazetaBitcoin! My idea was to channel whatever amount the collectible gathered in the auction to directly support icopress efforts in supporting his country. Sadly that means that I'll have to give you a tiny bit amount of work in sending the card to the winner, but I think that it's for a noble cause.

As we've discussed, I would only do this if we had a consensus within all the participants that took part in this event. If we do not reach consensus then I'll abide by the rules and it would be available in the next giveaway.

And like in our previous round, we need to adjust our prediction due to difficulty changes.
Difficulty changes are made due to hashrate changes, which are following BTC price.
Since I've expected BTC to make a nice move towards 25k by end of January and it was really close, so more miners joined the network (hashrate increased) => more Blocks were mined, I'm expecting a normalizing BTC price in February.
This time, I'm only adding a total of 2% more Blocks to be mined.

I'm thinking also about this friend of mine, which told me about this modular couch about 6 years ago -- and since then I promised myself that if I'll ever have my own house I'll certainly buy such a couch. I'm thinking to tell him this story and let him know that without having him telling me about the couch, 6 years ago, I don't know if I would have bought it now.

If we ignore the fractional block 781 dot 614, you're about 3 weeks off. That leaves you 17 days to petition a worldwide extension of February this year, and reducing March by the same number of weeks. It would be a nice tribute to the month February. It's usually the shortest one, and could once and for all make up for it!
It's not even totally unprecedented to significantly change the date, try to set your time machine to September 8, 1752. You'll disappear into The Void! You may or may not cause riots by messing with people's calendar, so tread carefully.

I'll probably just fund a hacker to code a glitch into Bitcoin to make block 781 dot 614 happen until February ends. Yes, unfortunately, it will cause massive disruption and riots but I don't believe your suggestion to extend February is a realistic approach.  
My budget for funding that hacker is exactly half of what I would gain from making the second place.  
GazetaBitcoin already knows who will be my favorite hacker, so let's have a try.
