Probably it will take some exploit to regain access back. I'm willing to bet the web server could be a good starting place... Perhaps someone should, for science, provide access to an S17 controller for the community to, umm verify its security?. Maybe a bounty would set things in motion...

I am willing to put up a bounty for someone to hack the SSH access anyone interested in pooling together on a bounty to help give the power back to the people?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Post up the bounty and I'll refer it to a member on here I know that would most likely be able to do this.

Hey Og? would you setup and escrow address to use for the bounty So I can make the first contribution and if anyone else wants to contribute they can just donate to the address and we give the full contents of the bounty wallet to the one who cracks it?

That is why butterfly labs never should have been shutdown for benchtesting it for a day. I would have tested for a week to ensure everything was working properly.

LOL, BFL were shut down for many reasons, including mining with client (sold) miners for WAY LONGER than a day.

18 months after purchase no gear, but I did get a refund.  I think month 19 or 20.

Are there others who want to contribute to the bounty? I think your word is good enough otherwise.

nice Phil!

I went to order last night and they sold out so fast - at least from when I saw them as available that it was there for me to add to cart but in going thru the cart - they were then out of stock Sad so now, I am stuck waiting for the next batch yet again.

Remember these are on the west coast and do not belong to me.

I host 3 s9s there  they make a small profit as power is cheap at that location.

I will have to consider shutting down the s9's and putting in an s17 down the road.

I will drop from 3900 watts to 2200 watts and jump from 40th to 53th

Yep that was my hope, was to buy some T17's/S17's and phase out more of my S9's - have gotten rid of 7 S9's so far but have added only 1 T15.

I wonder if they used the open back design like the s15/t15's on a side would allow better heat dissipation horizontally?

Philip how are your temps with the middle rack with all the wires in front? Barely can see the unit.

Stryfe, this is what our 2% earns you btw. All our solo buys pushed through. Our group buy hasn't reached 200 yet for the minimum to receive discounts.

I will ask the owner if he has some temp info.

I can see a big fan on the exhaust side so a lot of heat is pulled out of the box.

yea, but if I recall you dont have the miners I want, T17 is what I am looking for, and I want to use coupons too lol unless you want to accept those as well Smiley

but without the coupon, yes you are right there with the pricing, it was 1460 from bitmain shipped to my house and it is 1490 shipped from you. However, I can get it for 1120 from bitmain with the coupon.

one question for you - and I think I asked this before but I forget - with your price, will I still need to pay the tariff or is that included? that might negate the gain from the coupon if it is included in your price.

Looks like we had errors on our listings. But our pricing changes often anyway. Group buy includes duties/tariff. If you have coupons though we can set up a transfer of it for your account with us otherwise you're better off ordering yourself. We'll track your earned coupons as well and transfer them back if people want to sell them or use off of their account with us.

I was tempted to pull the trigger myself but then like you're saying sold out, pretty quick.

I am getting antsy on waiting but will continue to wait to buy more gear.

Yea, it happens we were lucky to clear our back log of solo buys this batch. Timing is everything and with bitcoin pumping sadly pricing will only go up and won't see any de minimis units on market. I think philips buy was mostly due to paypal not being very liquidable but I think we were able to refund 100% just took more time.

I might just be looking at s17 pro considering what will be available soonish.
