AFAIK in the interest of squeezing all the efficiency possible from a miner these are all using the PSU to regulate the Vcore applied to the chip strings. Losing the on-board regulators saves 5% power loss or more per-board. That means the only way to replace the PSU yourself is by using an exact replacement that has the connections needed for remote voltage control or sensing.
So is an integrated PSU a good idea? With everyone screaming for higher THs/J, yes.

Well i was thinking to use the same PSU from the other T17s for testing... So yes, the same Bitmain PSUs, But don't worry, where there is demand, there might be a supply, all it takes is a psu manufacturer (or customer custom order) psus intended for the latest miners.

The top numbers for power draw that I marked in red use as much as 3300 watts so 20 amp is needed to be safe.
Note that is pro model in a hot room on turbo 3371 watts.
Lastly 200 to 240 volts. Means my garage is out as it can drift up to 245 volts.
My spot in Clifton NJ is better 226 to 229 watts.
What happens if voltage goes above 240? Mine ranges from 117-123 on the 120 volt side. It was about 118 when I measured 237 on the 240 volt circuit.

Congratulations! To whom did you buy it? I've been looking around, and just found a lot of scammers like sellers. Can you share with me your provider? Thanks.

There have been some reports of psu fails when volts drift above 243-246 When have both 1 phase and 3 phase power in Clifton 65 kwatts at 228 volts 1 phase 110kwatts at 228 volts 3 phase we tend to drop as low as 217 on a hot summer day. we have never seen above 234 on any day. In my house I have reached 247 as a high but I was nt running my lone s17 or my lone t15 or my lone s15. They are all in Clifton

And this is why Bitmain sucks. They will not send or sell individual parts for S series, T series, Z11 and R4 and make you send them the entire unit back even if you diagnose the problem yourself. I had a middle board on a Z11 fry after two weeks with stock firmware and it was well below max operating temps. Not covered by warranty due to hash board burnt. Refused to sell me a replacement unless I shipped the entire unit back.

I though Bitmain opened up RMA in US again. Still sucks to send entire unit back but usually if anything is under warranty companies or manufacturer want the same.

New location is a small house in South Carolina. Seems kind of sketch, but the guy appears to own and run an industrial services company.

Hi all,
I'm a little late to the party regarding the S17's as I've only just noticed then.
Any idea when the next batch of S17's (normal or pro) will be made available for preorder?
I check the Bitmain site several times a day along with twitter however I don't want to miss out.
Many thanks.

that tends to be the best way - they will post on twitter or their fb page about a window coming up - usually for me it's like 1 am in the morning it seems. So I often miss the window.
