Hi. I am checking if ByteCoin would be compatible with the upcoming Blocknet decentralized exchange. I have looked at your github, but cannot figure out if you support BIP65 (OP_checklocktimeverify) and have a bitcoin stock JSON RPC API?
Thanks!

You can send a letter to devs. Maybe they can help you.

POLO BCN wallet been disabled for a while now.

Any ideas when it will be fixed?

"   BCN is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the BCN team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling."

On this page,
Code:
https://bytecoin.org/join/
, "Get 1 BCN" button does not work. Upon looking at the source, I found out that there is no function defined for the OnClick action button.

Code:
<button type="submit" onclick="" class="btn-u submit-but">Get 1 BCN</button>

So one never gets 1 BCN because the button is not mapped to any action.

Why would someone want to ask for 1 BCN? Isn't it way cheap to just buy a bunch of them?

It is for testing to ensure that wallet is working fine.

Just PM me your address and I'll send one.

Are you a turd? I'm pointing out an error on a web page.

I think this is BCN's last party. We may get a big bump from the noobs or by some pump group...then decimation.

And I don't want this. I'm a slight bag holder. I'd love to see some interest, but I think -- at least for a time -- a eulogy.

Unless the Bytecoin Team does something fantastic.

This coin appears to be on it's deathbed. the scammer/creators have effectively killed it - why? no idea, but if you can't dump them on polo, you're basically going to be holding nothing once they delist it. The actual BCN team doesn't seem to even care, which is good IMO. Fuck this coin, let it die - its children are far better.  Grin

You all act like the world is ending!  Let's take a look at the historical data for BCN.  The approx first date listed is around June 2014 (coinmarketcap) and the value of BCN did not rise significantly until approx the middle of May 2017.  So, 3 years of coasting along basically at 0.  Over the last 2 months there was a significant rise which has retreated.  But the other cryptos have also risen and retreated during this same time frame.  As the big and more famous cryptos decline in value, the others will as well and maybe more so.  Holders of cryptos (Bitcoin in particular) are nervous about the near future and that is the reason you are seeing a sell off, taking profit before the unknown occurs.  The way that Bitcoin goes price wise will be the way of almost all the others.

The negative vibes you are putting out here will cause fewer people to take a look at BCN.  If you don't like the coin, then you can sell out and not worry about it.  Kind of like watching TV! Don't like what's on, then change the channel!

I have huge faith in BCN. I have dropped a ticket on behalf of developer on poloniex but as you all know Poloniex is a moody company which works according to its own will. But since the problem has been solved from BCN's end, the problem should be solved quickly.

Poloniex is being acting weird for some time now. They stopped the troll box putting everyone into support.
I dont think all the trollbox moderators are qualified for solving support issues.

For all those who are having loading/synching issues, I hope that you have researched the forums and found a solution.  If you have tried the following solution and are still having problems, then not sure what else can be done until the application code is fixed.

I am running Bytecoin Wallet 1.1.4 on a Windows 8.1 Pro box, Intel i7 3820 3.60/3.8, 16 gb ram, and 64 bit.  It took 3 times to go through the following steps until the wallet fully loaded, and since then I have had no problems.  I had not opened the wallet for a few days until this evening.  It went from 1300185 to 1303659 in about 11 minutes.  The original load of the blockchain took about 10 hours.  Yes, 10 hours.  But it's not like you can't do anything else while it's downloading.  Be patient.  The "DB" folder is approx 26.5 gb, so it will take some time.

These are the steps:
1) First close the wallet application if it is open.

2) Find the bytecoin folder on your box.  It should be located on your primary drive such as:
C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Roaming\bytecoin\.
AppData is a hidden folder, so you will have to view hidden items.

3) Go into the bytecoin folder and either delete or move the following out of the folder:
DB (folder)
blockindexes (file)
blocks (file)

Warning: Do not delete or move any other files.

4) Restart the bytecoin wallet.  The application will recreate the folder and 2 files.

5) The wallet will start loading the blockchain.  Give it enough time.  If it gets stuck and fails to complete, redo the above steps.  Remember it took me 3 times.

Good Luck!

P.S. This solution from one of the BCN enthusiast. Try it...

We really need a web wallet. I don't want to download 26GB of data on my computer. We need something like myetherwallet but for BCN. How about a nice web wallet where user stores the private keys like myetherwallet?
