Traders have different tools to make money and it always surprises me when they choose the wrong tool for the job, buying the dip is without a doubt a strategy that can be used very effectively to make money but this only applies to good assets, I really do not think there are more than ten coins in this market that are worth the risk of buying when they are going down and of all of those bitcoin is probably the only one we all agree is worth the risk.

It was around $5000 when OP mentioned buying bitcoin, but the idea to buy at every dip isn't changed.
There is a probability that bitcoin may drop to $8500, but I doubt it will fall below it.
$10K isn't the target as bitcoin has the potential to go beyond $20K in the next year, so just buy whenever you think it's plausible.

It is your point of you, But most of the traders are actively monitor the crypto market so they know the future facts and earning percentage. people should do these two at the same time. meaning to set aside a portion of their money to buy bitcoin with but don't buy it right away when they get their paycheck for instance. they should instead try to look for a dip specially when the market is in sideways mode not a bull/bear run since during the bull run you want to buy right away without wasting any time but these days dips are more common and the bottoms are established already.

So on this cap if we are moving above 200 day average it could be taken as positive from there on, the speculators might actually want to take this level here with a tight stop loss, 8820 or above.     Then I do think its a sell if we can move past and confirm below the 50 day average which is about 8560.   On this occasion buying the dip is not that attractive to me, I only back that idea when its part of a regular pattern of both lows and highs and its too irregular right now.

actually if you are a typical trader who loves taking big risk , to buy every dip is your perfect way to gain big percentage of profit.

the risk could be worth , but if you are prefer to play it safe then i think to buy in the bearish run is a big mistake , you will feel that the drop is like never ending and guess what you will do? buy high sell low and buy high sell low again!
buy it on the bullish run if you want lower risk and sell it right after you have the profit in your pocket even it is only a little bit. that is how it works.

finding the real dip never easy , you have to monitor the movement every single minutes even seconds to get the very dip!
