Not until we start seeing crypto scammers get arrested for real many new investors won't join,I have friends that won't join crypto because of scammers running away with ICO funds forever ,no way to arrest them and get the funds out of them,the few news I read about getting some scammers is not enough ,the more there is an effective way the less scammers will harm crypto

Everyone must do a little researched before she/he join in any project involving cryptocurrencies. Since the cryptocurrency is promoting decentralization and also include anonymity, it means  that everyone can used crypto-currencies for their purpose wethere its good or bad without revealing their true identities. thats why if anybody has not sure what they are doing in terms on investing in ICO's IEO,s STO think twice just invest only with those platform that comply regulation, invest in IEO on reputable exchange like, Binance,Bittrex,Kucoin and other trusted platforms are least chances of being scam in the end.

Note: Im not promoting anyone of those exchange that running and IEO's since i have nothing to do with them. im just using it as an example.

Today, a lot of information on how not to become a victim of a scam. In order to become an investor of a project, today you need to have knowledge of how to analyze the project itself. The organizers should be ready for any questions, and not hide anything about the project. If you have even the slightest suspicion of deception, then most likely you will be right.
Therefore, until everything is organized at the legislative level, it is worth relying only on your knowledge. Do not jump into the project without solid confidence, but carefully re-check everything.

Yes, I think the first line of defense of us not being scammed is to become more  aware and vigilant on those projects that shows signs of irregularity and we should try to inform and warn other people in the community. But then again, there should be a way to apply the full force of the law and bring the perpetrators to justice so that it will not be replicated with others who have malicious mindsets.

My question is why would you be careless to the extent of giving your money to scammers .since you already know that the crypto community is filled with scammers that are looking for money to make away with, it is left for you to do your best in avoiding them as much as possible. Cause if you keep on waiting for when they will start getting them arrested ,you will just be wasting your time for nothing. As for your friends, well this is not meant for everyone ,if they think they can do it then they should find something else to do.

I agree and also wondering how are the scammers news now? Have these ico scammers been arrested? This is an important point to recover the ico investors and public trust. As long as these scammers freely wandering out there, public who had no experiences but interested to crypto will doubt to take part in the crypto world.
If this point can be overcome, I am sure it will give a positive impact to global adoption.

That is why many thinks centralization and regulation will bring much sanity into the system. Many people have lost thousands to millions of dollars for good with their bad deed been investing in a project or ICO.

It is just very difficult to arrest those who conducts this projects because they are very careful to make sure they don't release their real identity to their investors do that they can make a way with their money and not get tracked by any government agency, so I believe this is why IEO was launched to solve this problem of scam in crowdfunding on the Crypto space, but I think sec has been doing a good job lately getting those people That have participated in scam activities one way or the other in the Crypto space.

As in any unregulated industry, the sphere of cryptocurrency and blockchain was flooded with rogues, fraudsters and various scammers. Because of them, probably 10% of all ICO projects are real, the rest are solid fakes. I think the crypto community is faced with a difficult choice - either decentralization and a huge amount of scam, or regulation of the cryptosphere and admission of law enforcement structures to it to protect against fraudsters.

I am sure that there are not so many scammers in the crypto market. It’s just that the same people are doing several ISO fraudsters and they continue to do this all the time.
To avoid this, it is necessary to force developers to disclose their personal KYC information.
Only in this way can we defeat the fraudsters and bring them to justice for the deception of investors.

For that to happen we most definitely be regulate.  Governments will have interest in putting any scammers behind bar if there is a law to prosecute scammers.  I think we should be able to make governments accept bitcoin and regulate it if not the scamming activities will really continue.

I think it is high time this issue of rampant scam project be given serious attention by installing high regulations such that there wil be a system of moderating the activities of proposed ICO and those who are the member of the team must disclose their personal details and sign an undertaken on the rightful course of action in the event of the unexpected this is to project the interest of prospective contributors of the project.

Well" We need to accept the reality because herein crypto everyone is anonymous hard to identify or distinguish the real identity of the scammer, to avoid get victim of scammer just always becareful investigate well the project before investing.

This is long overdue, I'm sure they see how risky the market has become, lots of scammers are still making money here and newbies loses confidence investing in crypto. This ICO is one of the main source of scams, some can easily fake the team and if they raise money they can disappear easily.
Good thing now we have IEO as so far I've seen more positive feedback.

Thats why ICO in this year is not too successful, because the past ICO is full of scammers.
IEO maybe the solution for investors who still afraid to invest their money in ICO.
But we need to use reliable exchange to join IEO, because it can be trusted.

Do you know that despite all these cry here and there of scammers doing this and doing that, we still have some people that are making money from ICO aside IEO. There are still lots of credible projects there with very great concept and new ideas when you read their whitepaper, those who have successfully participated in great ICO amidst the bad one has taken extra step in making more findings outside the ICO.

There was an ICO I was interested in recently, after reading their whitepaper and seeing their linked in page, I sent them a mail asking for their involvement and also to meet them directly via any video call, because I made them understand I would be investing hugely, they refused to grant me audience, and this automatically implies that they are not real, while I have some that gave me the audience.

Scammer are really still running free, and there are so many people still being victimized by this scammer, but i think it is always depend on us, if the projects scammed we need to stay away from that project for good. I believe that scammers are running free but ee can avoid being scam by improving our self through research to know more about legal ang scam project.

In recent years, scamm has become very much. Investors are the first to suffer, and then bounty hunters. But it seems to me that while the blockchain system has no control, there will be no punishment. Just a few more years fraudsters will live with impunity

That is a big issue we have to deal with. Imagine if people are not punished for doing wrong, what will even stop them from scamming people. However, if scammers are punished, it will scare others from also scamming others.

How can they be punished when they are not known, the legal system will never permit such act if the identity of the perpetrators where known, but as it stands, they have already taken advantage of the good will of blockchain to create anonymity for themselves which will be very difficult to trace any transaction to them.

The only control method would be for us to just take extra precaution to avoid these bad projects; we should not rush into investing in every project that we come across. When we see a project, the best would be to first study what they have on table and the most important part is to strictly follow up on the team members.
